Hello...wake up people!..."you can access YouTube through Safari"..........really?.......really!.....did you forget that apple doesn't support Flash Player?....huh!....did'ja, did'ja? Go ahead, open Safari, then open YouTube....THEN READ THE BANNER SAYING YOU MUST UPDATE YOUR FLASH PLAYER!!

I WAS a staunch apple person. This iPad was all, and everything I needed. Now the map app is total crap compared to the maps in IOS 5, and the removal of YouTube by Apple matches an old cliche "cut your nose off to spite your face".

Hey Apple, you just toppled yourself of the top of the heap all by yourself. Wish Jacobs was still here. Boy do I ever!

Come on people, grow up. Get educated. Apple knows what it is doing and removing its competitors products such as maps and YouTube makes business sense. You can not have everything in this world and if you do, enjoy it! Apple will eventually improve its products to make them competitive with Google's which is going to be difficult because Google has been improving them for a long time and they are very popular; nevertheless, if whining and complaining about it got the products back on the iPhone- then let us all complain- but since that is not going to happen, let's just find alternatives and enjoy all the other great updates that iOS 6 brought us. Think about Ford or Chevy car owners wanting to have on their vehicles the reliability and dependability that Toyota and Honda have developed over the years, it is just not going to happen. Now, Apple is nowhere comparable to Ford or Chevy, but in the other two, Toyota and Honda, are very similar to Google in quality and great products.

What the heck did IOS6 bring us? Ooooohhhhhh! A world clock that the majority of people that have been polled wouldn't have even asked for.....hhhmmmm........what else........oohhh, apps that use the format of cool iris from Firefox to scroll their offerings for sale .....big whup!......ummmm....nothing else! What does anyone consider so hot about IOS 6? Like you said in your last posting, get real!

Just revert back to iOS 5.1 until they Include it. If you have an iPad 2 you don't get Siri with iOS 6 anyhow, and the rest of the improvements don't make up for it. As for those that are saying its good business sense, that's a load of crap. This reminds me of Microsoft back in the day when they incorporated Internet explorer into windows and got sued, only worse because at least back then you had the choice to install Netscape Navigator from a disk.

Since the only place you can install from is the App Store, there is no possibility of installing the most popular video service in the world's app on my device. I wouldn't call that whining. I would call that a valid complaint about a stupid decision. I could see if Apple ALREADY released a competing service, but they don't have anything that competes with Google yet.

IT has nothing to do with whether or not you can still get to YouTube using a browser, and its not angst. I am merely stating my opinion. I'm not gonna go beat my dog cause there's no app. I would pose to you the same question from the opposite point of view... Why get rid of the app (which has more features than the web client)? The real reason is the revenue google makes from the 6 to 12 second ads that play before some of the more popular videos. Apple can't stand that someone is making money and they are not getting a piece of it.

I Have all Macs in my house, two iPads and an iPod touch for my MP3 player, so I would call myself an avid Mac user for years now, but I simply don't agree with Apple taking away the app, which again, has more features than the web client. That's my opinion. Everyone is entitled to one.

This whole discussion really doesn't matter because Google has reported that they are in the works with a new YouTube app for iPad, and it will be released in the coming weeks.

For those of you who kept saying why not just use the browser, you need to read this article and see all the new features in the app that the browser does not have, and realize that you want the new app as well...

If you go to YouTube in Safary you will see a button that asks you if you want to put YouTube on your Home Screen. Tap on it and you will see YouTube on your iOS6 iPad homescreen just like before with iOS5. All it actually does is create a shortcut to safary. When you click or tap on it from the home screen it automatically opens Safary and goes to YouTube. BTW you can do more in YouTube from Safary than you can with the old YouTube app from iOS5.

Why is there no YouTube on IOS 6 update?
