    Same here for me on both my iPhone(4S) and (new)iPad.


    "I get lists of artists and albums, but all songs are blank and 0:00 in length. Still, the storage shows the songs reside in my iPhone."


    .. If i go into Settings>Music and iTunes Match keeps getting reset to Off.


    I turn it on, click on a different setting, then go back to Music, it has reverted to Off!

    I'm also finding that my iPhone 4 will not sync with my PC, even via cable.  Its connected and I can check the software level and look at content on the iPhone.  If I try a sync, the sync starts, the sync circle icon appreas on the phone but I get an error in iTunes saying the sync session failed to start.  I can see updated content on the phone in the index (eg podcasts), but the items are gray with the circle next to them meaning they haven't been downloaded yet.  I'm going to try the restore path this morning as my 5 won't come for 2 more weeks.

    To MacJools: When you turn on the iTunes Match, stay on the screen for a few seconds. When the "Show all music" and "Use celular data" appear, it should be ok. That think also happened to me, so this might help.

    I do that but to no avail.


    on the iPad:


    (1) Turn on iTunes Match

    (2) Click on the "Enable" button that appears in the pop-up dialog box (iTunes Match will replace the music...)

    (3) Wait 3-4 seconds, and all three sliders are on (iTunesMatch/Use Cellular Data/Show All Music)

    (4) Wait another 3-4 seconds - They dissaper and iTunes Match is "Off" again


    on the iPhone:


    (1) Turn on iTunes Match

    (2) Click on the "Enable" button that appears in the pop-up dialog box (iTunes Match will replace the music...)

    (3) Wait 3-4 seconds, and all three sliders are on (iTunesMatch/Use Cellular Data/Show All Music)

    (4) click on "Settings" to go back in the menu

    (5) clock back on 'Music" amd iTunes Match is"Off" again.


    I've tesed the on laptop I have by downloading a matched album (from my main computer) through iCloud, and that worked no problem, so I know the music is there in my matched account.

    If you have a spare two hours I'd suggest going to Settings - General - Reset - Erase All Content And Settings then restoring your iPhone from iCloud. This is assuming however you backed up prior to installing iOS 6. I had the same problem today: either music displaying 0.00 and not playing, alternating with the white cloud and non-moving status bar. Resetting then restoring the phone finally got iTunes Match to work. Not an easy answer, and it does take up some time, but hey, it worked.

    The same thing is happening to me. Apple support weren't able to help. I notice that in the Capacity in iTunes it is showing 13.6GB used for Other which I suspect was my music capacity before the upgrade.

    I appear to be experiencing something on the opposite end of the spectrum. I can see almost my entire collection of music in the Music app under iOS 6 and I do not have iTunes Match enabled on my iPhone. I thought that was unusual and maybe a new feature of iOS 6. The music app is behaving as though I do have iTunes Match enabled - I can see and play any of the songs listed. I cannot download any individual songs, but I see the "download from the cloud" icon for individual albums or at the bottom of the page for an artist. I do not see any of my playlists.

    Mike, the problem is no music shows up in my itunes anymore.  It's all gone.  I even turned off itunes match.  It's all gone but like someone else said, that memory seems to be taken up... itunes just doesn't find the songs.  When I turn on itunes match, still no music.  None of my 11,000+ songs are showing up - cloud or local.  This is on a 4s.  My ipad 2 is fine.

    Finally this did the job for me (iPhone 4 with iTunes Match on iOS 6):


    - Manually delete all music from the phone via iTunes

    - Restore iPhone and create a Backup when asked

    - Use the Backup from iTunes when the configuring the Phone

    (Now I could see that the space, iCloud music took on the iPhone was available)

    - Wait until everything is synced again

    - Open the music app and type in your password when promted and wait until the Cloud is gone (this took a very short time for me)

    - Download you songs from iCloud/iTunes Match on your phone


    One strange thing was, that it made no difference (all music showed up), if showing all music was on or off, but it works now!

    2. I noted that in order to have the iCloud symbol with the non moving progress bar, you need to turn on iTunes Match under both the "iTunes & App Stores" settings AND the "Music" settings. I also note that if - while the iCloud logo and non-moving progress bar are showing - you try to move away from that screen, iOS 6 will automatically turn off iTunes Match.


    Same thing here.  If you leave the screen, it turns it off in "iTunes & App Stores".  But not in "Music".

    Well I don't have no problems playing music or syncing my ipod 4g, but I do have a strange problem with none of my album artwork is not showing up on my ipod, but it does show up fine on itunes. 


    That did happen after I updated the firmware this morning.

    RESTORE! it is the answer to all. Yes it is time consuming but it really works. make sure to do backup and if you encrypt it make sure you can remember the backup password.


    Really, just restore. it does work.


    Btw, i think it is because of the wifi update and not updating through iTunes. Hope this could be fix soon.

    First thing is true: restoring does the magic!

    Second thing is not true: I updated via iTunes, and had the same issue!
