The problem is that Apple die with Steve Jobs. I've lost faith in the company. I don't think they read these forums at all. I am happy to report however that I am now once again able to send iMessages from my iPad while tethered to my new Samson Galaxy 4G phone :)) I'm glad I didn't discover this problem after upgrading to an iPhone 5 (dodged that bullet)!

I Had the same problem after upgrading to ios6

all what you have to do is:

1) go to iTunes account and scroll down to the bottom, till you find your email address (Apple ID)

2) click on your apple Id and select review my apple Id

3) most probably your country is not supported by apple iMessage or FaceTime, so you need to press "change my region"

4) select United state for example and press agree for the terms and conditions.

5) you will be requested to verify your credit card number. If you don't live in the US then select "none"

6) choose any state to complete the form. And press continue.

7) then you are done.

8) now go to FaceTime or iMessage to verify your Id and password and it will work fine.

I am having the same problem. I have the iPhone 4s and just updated my softwater to the ios 6.01.01. However my imessage is not longer working? Can anyone help me please?

I tried turning iMessage on/off. Then I try logging in with my applie ID to "Activate" it and it just keeps timing out and giving me an erorr message "Could not sign in. Please check your network connection and try again." I'm connected to the wifi and I have even turned the phone on/off.

Please help as I want to avoid a restore. Thanks!

I have a 4th gen ipod touch running the latest iOS (6.0.1) and none of these fixes have worked for me.

I have tried resetting my network settings, turning imessage on and off in settings, going through my apple account and changing my region and resetting my credit card info, and then finally a complete restore.

NONE of these things have worked. This is unacceptable, and the fact that nothing is being done or said about it is completely unprofessional.

I expect more from a company like apple, mostly I expect their products I pay $$$ for to work.

Hi I have been having trouble with my iMessage since I upgraded to the problem I am having though is my iMessages when I send them and recieve them are going to my husbands phone as well as mine so we both get the same msgs from everyone. I thought that only happened when iCloud was turned on but our iClouds are both turned off. When I have a convo with my husband it sends to both of us on our phones so we are getting the msgs twice instead of once. Can anyone please help me fix this? and how do you turn imessage off on your phone? And if I do this will our msgs still go to both of us?😢

Ok I figured out how to turn iMessage off and found out the the msgs only went to the person they are suppose to. Yah. So now it is just awaiting game till Apple can fix iMessage. Someone said to reset my phone but if I do that I will lose all my Stuff and I don't use iCloud so I wouldn't be able to get it all back. My Hub and I have stuff we can't afford to lose on our phones. We also will not use iCloud either because of it's faultiness. Something needs to be done to fix these errors.

After upgrading to ios 6, iMessage stopped working.
