After upgrading to ios 6, iMessage stopped working.

I have also issue with message. My some of the messages got deleted but sender number is there.

Mine started working again a couple of mins ago. Maybe it just takes an hour or two to update. All fully functional now! 🙂

I upgraded my touch to iOS 6 yesterday and haven't been able to send or receive any messages in iMessage. And I'm not sure how to downgrade back to iOS 5, anyone know how to get iMessage back working?

Just for your information:

When I turn on Mobile Data (3G on my iPad), iMessage works fine! When I turn it off and try it again only on Wifi, it does not work!

Try deactivating (deselect) all other 'access points' for iMessage other than just your phone number.

When setting up FaceTime for example, the phone needs to identify itself with the Apple servers in the US via the cell network in your location. The 'primary key' for this registration with apple is your phone number.

I deselected everything except the phone number and it worked for both iMessage and FaceTime. It asked me for my Apple ID password and then started working. I'm in Australia. Hope that helps.

I know this is for iPads, but iMessage was working right away for me last night, but woke up and it isn't working (iPhone 4s 16gig on Sprint) what i did was Settings>Messages>iMessage ON (was actually turned off for some reason) Just posting my update on here to see if it possibly helps anyone!

My messages isn't work on either my Iphone or Ipad. The Iphone reverts to a text message after a while, and the Ipad just gives a delivery failure. I'm hopeful it is a network issue but I wish there would be something posted about it.

I'm having issues with iMessages as well. I am using a 16GB iPhone 4S and just updated my software to iOS 6.0. I am currently studying abroad in Barcelona, Spain and only started having problems sending messages after updating. I have tried all these methods but still can't get my iMessages to move past the "Waiting for activation..." stage. Any further suggestions? Thanks!

I got the same issue even with my facetime if i turn off Cellular Data in Settings/General/Cellular. The Enable 3G switch is always off and Wifi is on btw. The phone will still use wifi to send or receive message thus why that Cellular Data matter ? Facetime and Message on my Mac still work fine so I suspect that this is an OS flaw.

I have the same issue, I thought it could be a network issue but evidently not. The progress bar gets stuck at about 80%. And then I got the error message in red "Not Delivered!" does anyone have any suggestions? I have the 64GB iPad 2 3G. Thank you in advance.
