After upgrading to ios 6, iMessage stopped working.

After upgrading to ios 6, iMessage stopped working. Messages are not delivered. I tried everything. Deactivate and activate. Change email, etc.

Tengo un ipad2 wifi 16 gb.

Try deactivating (deselect) all other 'access points' for iMessage other than just your phone number.


When setting up FaceTime for example, the phone needs to identify itself with the Apple servers in the US via the cell network in your location. The 'primary key' for this registration with apple is your phone number.


I deselected everything except the phone number and it worked for both iMessage and FaceTime. It asked me for my Apple ID password and then started working. I'm in Australia. Hope that helps.

I'm having issues with iMessages as well. I am using a 16GB iPhone 4S and just updated my software to iOS 6.0. I am currently studying abroad in Barcelona, Spain and only started having problems sending messages after updating. I have tried all these methods but still can't get my iMessages to move past the "Waiting for activation..." stage. Any further suggestions? Thanks!
