Nov 6, 2012 9:27 AM in response to memoryweaverby svieson,The update to 6.0.1 solved the issue for me. iPhone 4s, and I can now tell Siri to remind me when I get home and low and behold, it reminds me when I pull in the driveway. All good here now!

Nov 18, 2012 11:29 PM in response to hocheung20by oracomm,NOOOO....don't tell me that! Have you tested on a cellular model? I have been yesterday on a store but they said that iPad 4 + cellular will be released on the end on November...I was supposing too that that feature will be added on iPad 4 and not on ours 3rd gen

Nov 18, 2012 11:33 PM in response to oracommby hocheung20,Yes, I preordered an iPad 4 + Cellular and it arrived Thursday. The stores started selling them Friday.
Apparently this functionality also works in iPad Mini + Cellular.

Nov 19, 2012 12:03 AM in response to hocheung20by oracomm,Son of a b____ I supposed they would include that feature in new 4th generation and leave the third behind their back! End of support of a top product after 6 months, one of the worst treatment. No words Apple.

Nov 19, 2012 5:33 AM in response to oracommby obad100,I agree, this is bad treatment from Apple towards people who just bought their iPad a few months ago.
This would have never happened on Steve's watch.

Nov 19, 2012 6:57 AM in response to obad100by Everman,Agreed, this is quite shocking. Apple has been very good about applying updates to previous generation products going back several generations. To have this product left out of the plan when iOS 6 hit and it was the current generation flagship, and then to enable the feature in a new product while leaving the 6 month old product out in the cold is quite unlike Apple. I have to think this will be enabled with a software patch soon.

Dec 3, 2012 2:13 AM in response to oracommby John Maton,According to the web page your reference, it says
Location-based Reminders:
- To set a location, you can use a saved contact location or just manually enter it at the time you create the reminder.
- Use a specific street address whenever possible.
- The location service icon will remain in the status bar until you mark the reminder as complete.
- Available only on iPhone 4 and later.
Looks to be an iPhone specific thing, although location based reminders can be set up on my MBP

Dec 3, 2012 2:22 AM in response to oracommby John Maton,@oracomm,
Sorry for that. I had not gone through all 4 pages of complaints so had not seen the report that the web site had changed.
PS, I have provided hard documented evidence showing bugs in their software. They never admit that they have a bug and just recommend that I just submit a suggestion to Apple.

Jan 9, 2013 7:34 PM in response to Evermanby Dcucura,Actually from what I've experienced so far having become a first time apple customer with purchase of iPad 3 in June (not counting of course my second-generation iPod which I still use)-- this is not unlike apple at all, but rather what I've come to expect.
