IOS 6 keeps going to an apple log-in screen every time I try to access my home wifi.

After updating to ios 6 every time I try to access my wifi network my Iphone 4s goes to 3G and goes to an apple log-in screen that says "the page cannot be found". I have tried forgeting the network and re-entering the password and rebooting the phone but both didn't work. Any Ideas would be appriceated.

This problem has been fixed by Apple.

This was a problem on Apple's end and these solutions are just coincidentally timed. A dummy page of theirs went down at 7:00 EST that the iPhone connects to everytime you join a WiFi network to determine if you are behind a proxy. It is back up as of 7:40EST. It may take some time to caches to clear around the globe. You do not need to do anything. Just turn wifi off and on again and keep trying until it works.

I had the same issue and it is frustrating.

I don't know if you have seen this soluiton, but the following two ideas worked reliably for me: Maybe coincidence?

Settings>Wi-Fi> Your network

Scroll to bottom of screen and set HTTP Proxy to Auto - leave on Auto.

Get out of settings and power cycle phone.

Go back to Settings>Wi-Fi> Your network and make sure there is an IP address defined, etc.

This worked the first time.

Or as CClark32 mentioned:

Change 'HTTP Proxy' to Auto (as above) and then back to Off

Click on Renew Lease and let it cycle.

Get out of settings and power cycle phone.

Go back to Settings>Wi-Fi> Your network and make sure there is an IP address defined, etc.

Either should clear the issue. I powered down/up so I can't say if this is needed or not...

Best of luck.

Marc
