Q: Getting page not found on iPad for WiFi verification

So I just upgraded the iPad to IOS6. I connect to my wifi network, it connects, pulls up the Apple page (the one that usually pops and disappears, I guess it's checking something on that page to verify network connection). Instead of going away, it's displaying Apple's 'Page Not Found' and on the top bar it says 'www.apple.com' and 'Log in'. I have no log in for my router, I'm clearly online as I can browse all of Apple's website, yet the ONLY option I have is click 'cancel'. I used to remember you can tell it not to do a network check, I can't even turn that off.

Any one else seeing this?

Just an upate, my iPhone is doing this as well now. I think Apple just removed some code from their page. The iPhones was working earlier on the Wi-Fi. Either that or some DNS change is not propagating to me.

I have the same issue, I just updated to iOS 6 on my 16 GB 3G iPad 2.

I just updated my new iPad, and I'm having this exact same problem, with an ASUS router. My iPhone is still on IOS 6 Beta 4 and it hasn't had any of these issues at all.

I'm also experiencing the same issue. Very frustrating. I use my iPad for work and I'm remote right now.

The update might as well have bricked my ipad. It's worthless without the internet.

iPad 3, Wifi Only, 32GB

I'm getting the same thing on my iPhone 4... still waiting for the iPad to finish updating but I won't be surprised if it happens to that too. C'mon Apple!

Same thing with me. iPhone updated fine, but with iPad every time I go to turn on iMessages the browser opens to the "page not found" site on apple and it turns off my wifi. Can't turn any iCloud or iMessage features on. Help.

Same problem here. Guess Apple forget to create the new page for iOS 6 on their web site and iOS interprets page not found as "no wifi connection". hope they'll fix it soon.
