Sep 19, 2012 11:03 PM in response to LugorIVby Semaj2k3,This iOS 6 wifi problem is affecting at least the iPhone 4, 4s, and iPad 3rd gen... The wifi appears to stay on, however, no data passes... If you turn your wifi off, wait a sec or two, turn it back on, the problem appears to be resolved until you have passed a set amount of data... Once that threshold is reached, the wifi stops passing again... It will stay that way until you turn the wifi off and back on or reboot the phone or just by letting it sit untouched long enough for the wifi to turn itself off... You'll know when you pick it up and hit a button... The 3G/4g indicator switches back to wifi... It all works again until the threshold is reached... This is very weird... If you use speed test.net app and run it two or three times, it will pass enough data to shut the wifi down... You can even watch any streaming video (3-5 mins) of something that pulls a lot of data other than browsing safari of mail downloads... It's very easy to recreate the issue, we just need a resolution very fast...
C'mon Apple....!!!

Sep 20, 2012 3:38 AM in response to LugorIVby Steve Kelso,I'm having Wi-Fi issues where it drops out it doesn't choose the strongest network and it's just a big MESS!
You would think after Beta testing this for so many months they would have all this worked out. There's no excuse for this Apple!

Sep 20, 2012 3:52 AM in response to LugorIVby AJ1960,I had to upgrade my itunes to the newest version on 2 iphones 4s and then my wifi worked. I had to change the date to off and then change the date ahead about 2 months for the passbook app to load.

Sep 22, 2012 4:48 AM in response to LugorIVby Altaf Khan,Having the same Issue, I updates to IOs 6 and have the following errors. The Wifi connection works fine till the time i am working on it. The moment it is inactive for sometime... the wifi connection is lost and then it takes few attempts of Switching On and Off the wifi to get it starting again. This has been very frustrating. you cannot keep apps for updating as well as the connection drops.
-> Safari keep giving page not found
-> ItunesU has not openend since then
-> IBooks has not been updated even after repeated attempts.

Sep 23, 2012 12:57 PM in response to LugorIVby darkchocolate,I am having the same issues. My phone won't connect to wifi and neither does my iPad 2 after iOS 6. I can't even tether my iPad to my phone. I reset my network settings which fixed the problem for a day but the issues are back. My iPad is useless. I've tried all the tips online and they don't work. And if they do work, it's only temporary. I get having bugs but this is just ridiculous. I'm going back to the old os.

Sep 27, 2012 8:46 AM in response to LugorIVby vick57,After the iOS6 "upgrade" my wife's iPhone 4, my iPhone 5 and my iPad 3 are all "bricks" with horrible WiFi performance. it appears that the devices connect to WiFi networks (it's not just my home wireless setup). however, downloads take two or three tries with error messages about not being able to connect to servers. On the same network my ancient Dell laptop blazes through loading the same web sites. Truly shameful.
Apple has finally graduated to Microsoft status; they're so big they think they can just push garbage out to users who will be dazzled by feature count. What happened to the famous Apple quality?

Sep 27, 2012 11:58 AM in response to LugorIVby Positron.artist,I had the same problem, iphone4. I posted my fix long ago. It worked for me. That said, things my be going sideways at apple. I've used a Mac since '88 and have always love the user interface. I think the problem now is share holders. They want a new OS be it Mac or iOS every year with 200+ new features. Apple is now massive, their day base of users being one of their most valuable assets. However, my MacBook late 2011 i7 SSD with mountain lion and iphnoe4 with 6 are running seemlessly. As a normal photoshop/safari user, I find mountain lion fast.
Maybe the trick is to do a clean install from a USB stick of 10.8.2. I never simply 'update' my Mac OS.
