    All of these "Apple may be going off course" or "Apple has finally lost it" type of comments are hilarious.  I can't stop laughing.  As if these types of problems have never happened before?  Please...there are a litany of them, it's just now that Apple is so big, everyone seems to be waiting for them to fall.  Stop waiting.  There are going to be bugs with technology. If they didn't release software, people would be crying bloody murder that Apple is so big it doesn't care.  They release it with bugs and people cry bloody murder.  Great problem to have!

    I did - but it wasn't a problem for me after the first hour or so following the upgrade to iOS 6.

    I started this thread, if you read through this thread you will find that Apple solved the problem, they fixed their page.  So there wasn't a particular 'solution' that solved this issue.  Though fundamentally this is a stupid problem to have.


    If a dictatorial country wishes to prevent all IOS devices from connecting to the internet via WiFi, all they have to do is spoof Apple's webpage, deny access to it, or some other method.  Then suddenly all IOS devices will think they are behind some sign-in screen and won't let you get online.  This isn't that far fetched as most (if not all) of these countries have national firewalls.


    Also, this makes IOS devices very vulnerable to attacks, if some hacker manages to change the internal iptables, it would essentially brick your IOS device.

    Well, apart from anything else, with the device trying to connect to Pple, I cannot connect to my own WiFi.... Because there is no Internet connection from it.


    I use to purely for streaming media in house and air play.


    Or, I used to.


    Now that I has to talk to Apple... Across a link that does not exist, the whole network, and the iPad are now pointless.

    Read through all these but STILL can't connect through WiFi.


    I CAN connect via my own WiFi, but at work, I have to log in through a welcome page.


    After I have logged in...nothing happens! It just sits there. I am connected to the WiFi, but I can't get past this and connect to the internet. This is the same with all the others using the networks.


    I think the problem is with IOS 6 - It's the same with the iPhone.


    My MacBook Pro works just fine. This is an iPad and iPhone problem. There is no problem with our network - it's just as it always has been and non Apple products, or Apple products that haven't been upgraded work just fine.


    Sort it out PLEASE Apple!!!!

    Hi, after upgrading to IOS6 I have been having the same problem with my Ipad 2 and Netgear MBRN3000.

    Previously everything was working fine.

    Now, none of the solutions above seem to work at home and obviously I don't have control of wifi configurations around the world. In any case my personal router's settings are fine and I am not willing to change them.

    I have also tried resetting the device a number of times.

    So finally this is not my problem or routers problem this problem is due to apple (notice the lower case a) and it's faulty, buggy, ****** IOS6 release.

    Is there still no soluation to this? I was having this problem and apple fixed it i thought but by the time I got back to the office the same problem was back

    I am having the same issues. Pages not coming up, barely loading.


    Ready to switch to android.

       So, a month and a half after the last post and I am now finding this an issue:  Attempting to connect to my home network brings up the Log In page with "Access Error," and "Cannot open URL /library/test/success.html."  I've tried turning wi-fi off and on; powering off; forgetting the network, then rejoining; setting HTTP Proxy to "Auto:" setting the Wi-fi network to "Auto-join," etc., but nothing works.

         Any other fixes out there?  Thanks.

    I haven't solved the problem as such, but I downloaded Google Chrome and can now access WiFi using this search engine.

    I think the problem is with Safari.

    I suggest using another web browser and stick with it until Apple fix Safari.
