Account information

my current e-mail address is through my landline provider and I am cancelling the service. I am going to create a new e-mail account and need to know the best way to update my itunes account and icloud account without losing any information on either? Is this possible and if so, what are the best steps to take?

Is it possible to do this with an @icloud email address?
