I am trying to install the new itunes and receive this error in the middle of the install I am receiving an error.

The message received is:

The file does not have a program associated with it or is already installed. If one is alredy installed create an association in the default programs control panel.

The member is difxinst64.exe and it's a third party (Gear Data) module. It was in the correct library that the message was pointing to so I went to the default programs as the message stated. Unter that there is an option to have an extension associated with a program (ie: doc - Word) but not an exe as all programs are executed. I then checked the default program and it basically allows a program to take multiple extensions. Like Notebook uses DOC, TXT, and RTF.

This would be a whole lot easier if I could cut and paste to show the actual message.

Anyway, I have been using iTunes for about 2 years on this computer and never had a problem until this new release. Does anyone have any suggestions? As I said on my profile I have Windows 7 64 bit system.

iPad, Windows 7
