Nope
Strange... I had the wifi connection issue too, but that worked for me. There are a couple of other posts in the discussion boards with solutions. Someone might have a different work around.
Worked for me too! Thank you so much. I was getting really frustrated trying to connect to my home network only to have it drop like a second later.
No problem. It's a complicated operating system. Hiccups are bound to happen. I was frustrated too but I'm glad I could help.
Found this on a different forum - go to the wifi settings - choose your network
Had the same problem.
Trying to connect to my own WIFI network opened Safari and it would try to connect to a Apple.com webpage that doesn't exist.
FIX:
Settings > Wi-Fi > (Network...) > "Blue Circle Arrow"
Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and set:
HTTP Proxy to Auto
It will start working. Something happened at 6pm CST and lasted about 40 minutes. Just keep trying to connect. I did not have to do any resets/fixes.
That works too!
Select your Wifi. If you don't have the pass on it already go ahead and do it. Then go to the little arrow on the right and select static for the IP address. Worked for me hope it does for you.
I found this -
Settings / Wi-Fi / tap the blue arrow on your network / Make sure that Auto-Join is ON
Seems it was OFF by default after the update maybe?
I made my phone forget my wifi network and then logged onto it again and was fixed for me. ℹ
I found a solution that has worked on both iPhone 4's I have that have had the same issues, and also including not being able to download updates in the App store.
Go to Settings > WiFi and turn it OFF.
Next go to General > Cellular > Cellular Data and turn it OFF
Next go back to Settings > WiFi and turn it ON, (wait a few seconds for it to sync with your network)
Finally go back to General > Cellular > Cellular Data and turn it ON.
I had the same issues on both my wife's phone, and my own, and it fixed it immediately without changing any proxy settings or reboots, (which I did try on my phone and did not work, but did not try on my wife's phone)
Hope this helps!
Hi Guys,
Same problem here using iPhone 4... it seems to be connecting to the Network but, in fact, it doesn't.... Tried everything on this trhead to no avail.
