Mountain lion 10.8.2 battery life is worse !

I just updated a few minutes ago and I'm having the same problem, I can actually see my battery % going down as I type! Its going down 1% every minute or so!

UPDATE: The % has been going down at a slower pace over the past few minutes, and I also noticed the total time is now increasing, it went from 3 hours up to 5.5 hours, Im hoping It will go up from here. Maybe it just needs some time to calibrate the battery?

I'm getting about 8:35 minutes on 100% charge. Much better than my previous 5:40 I was getting before 10.8.2

Same here. Over 52% battery life, and it says I have less than 2 hours remaining. My screen is dimmed to the minimum level too. I barely used it all today. I hope it will refresh after a restart or something. It can't be right. I guess time will tell.

I'm having same issue, not even 4 hours and the remaining % is dropping really fast, I'm tempted to rolling back to Lion 'til they fix this, I'm tired of carrying my safemag everywhere, I feel like an old windows laptop user.

MacBook Pro (Late 2008) model with upgrades to RAM and hard drive. Battery life is noticeably worse even from 10.8.1. About 2 hours on time calculation.

Ok, I got some weird but promissing results here,

following some random instructions I read on these forums I'm letting the battery to dry out. Initially from 99% to 87% was a horse run drop and the battery life prediction was about 2 hours as usual after ml upgrade, however, 3 hours passed by and the % shown was 48% and the remaining time was fluctuating from 2:30 to 4:20.

I kept waiting for the battery to run dry and now I'm 33%-2hours remaining, that said, so far, it seems like the battery life has improved but the software which predicts the remaining time and % is just dumb and doesn't calculates it correctly.

I'll let it completely dry out and recharge it being off and let you know what comes out from the exercise.

I'm having the same issue. My battery life after the update 10.8.2 is as bad as when I upgraded to mountain lion. At 43% I have only 1:33 remaining time left. I have a mid 2012 macbook pro 13. I hope this will be fixed asap. Tonight I'm going to try to callibrate my battery hoping it will solve the problem.

I have a Macbook Pro Mid 2010 and on a 100% Battery I have Approx 3 hours Battery life with ML 10.8.2 - with Snow Leopard I had 11 hours and with Lion 8 hours.

But I will do as some the others here and try calibrate hoping that might change things.

How do you do with the battery life? for me it's just dissapointing, it increased, yes, but not to lion levels, now I got like 5 hours of battery life, I'm still hanging out with the magsafe like a non-proud Windows User, I'm tempted to go back to lion or mountain lion.

Cannot be possible that after steve's departure everything starts to collapse, please be serious, do something and quick, our patience has a limit

I don't know how to help on this question. However this is not an problem for me.
I have a MBP Retina and my battery stats were sort of like this:

10.8.1 Battery Stats:
From 5 hours 32 minutes while on Wifi and doing some basic stuff (browsing).

10.8.2 Battery Stats:
From arround 9 hours 40 minutes while on Wifi... However when I turn Wifi Off it show 12 hours 20 minutes.
I havent tested this tho, I am only telling what it says.

I am most of the time home and I work a lot so I am mostly on charger. I remove it from charger once a week and use it till 50%.

I calibrated the battery and it now gives me 5 hours and 40 minutes, but still not the 8 hours that Lion gave me. Still - 2 more hours, but have been wondering if ML is worth the bad battery life - Lion worked perfectly, and I do not use notification center or messages.

Maybe when Windows 8 comes out I will try that, and if it gives me a longer battery life then ML, then bye bye OSX
