After installing iTunes 10.7 the iPhone Configuration Utility will not open?

Here's how to get iPCU working again until we can release a new version of iPCU which is compatible with the version of Apple Mobile Device Support included with iTunes 10.7:

1) Uninstall Apple Mobile Device Support

2) Uninstall iPCU

3) Reinstall iPCU

Step 1) may cause iTunes 10.7 not to work properly with connected devices. If so, you would then also need to uninstall iTunes 10.7 and reinstall iTunes 10.6.3.

Yes that is correct. But uninstalling itunes itself is better.

Uninstalling mobile device support will no longer detect Iphone connect to PC.

Itunes 10.7 has some issue with config utility.

Step 3, reinstalling iPCU, will also reinstall Apple Mobile Device Support, but it will be the version which shipped with iPCU 3.5 and is therefore compatible with it.

I tried,

1) Uninstall Apple Mobile Device Support

2) Uninstall iPCU

3) Reinstall iPCU

But still iPCU does not open. I think it is due to Itunes 10.7.

Also I could not get Itunes 10.6.3 from apple site.

I tried to uninstall complete apple softwares from my system.

Then installed itunes 10.3 and iPCU 3.5.

iPCU worked, but itunes did not recognize connected Iphone 4S.

I was stuck with a non-working iPCU as well on my Windows 7 computer, but today's update to 3.6 magically fixed things 🙂

WIth 3.6 it is working fine.
