Nano SIM Availability

I'm not sure if this has been covered yet but I am finding it frustratingly difficult to get information on where I can aquire a Nano SIM for my Apple.ca purchased unlocked iPhone5. I have talked to my carrier who has told me they will be using thier stock for the phone they activate and are not promising they will have extra. My local Apple store has directed me to my carrier. No one is providing them before Friday, if they are providing them at all. How do I get a Nano SIM so I can use my phone when it arrives?

apple doesnt have sim cards because they are not a carrier. your wireless carrier is your only bet

Sorry, I should have specified im in Canada. Here the Mac stores sell unlocked phones and with them they give out SIM cards. I've done it twice in the past.

Regardless of your location, SIM cards are provided by the carrier.

They are activated by your provider but, as I have done twice in the past, I've gone into the apple store and been given a SIM card for my unlocked phone. I have inquired at the store here but they have not been told if they will have them on launch day. I figured I'd check here.

Walked into the Apple store at 8:50 and was given a Nano SIM card free.

Thats the same question im looking to be answered, except with Verizon sims here in USA. Good to know you got a SIM from apple in Canada, I would assume that means they give them out here in USA too. So was your SIM just blank and you broguth it home and activated it online?

Yes, I just put it into the phone and called my provider, they asked for the SIM number and it was activated. I'd call ahead though as I'm not sure the same will happen in the US. Good luck!
