Did iOS 6 add Siri to the iPad 2?

Personally I think it should be iPad 2, even if you have to release 6.1 update or something to do so, it needs to. Because this whole time, it was advertised to be on the 2, and last minute, its not, same goes for passbook. I don't see that either. It should be added still, in my opinion, especially when it was advertised.

Siri was NEVER advertised as being available on the iPad 2.

Apple never said that it would be on the iPad 2, they only the iPad 3. As the iPad 2 doesn't have the Audience chip in it that is used by Siri in the iPad 3 and iPhone 4S (and the iPhone 5 and iPod Touch 5), it's unlikely that it will be getting it.

Not unless it is jailbroken which gives you a half-***** version and opens your entire iPad to security risks. I honestly think Siri is not worth that.

Nope just upgraded to iOS 6... I have no idea how to jailbreak it nor would I want to.

You either have a new iPad, not an iPad 2, someone has jailbroken your iPad, or you are mistaking Voice Command with Siri.

We purchased an iPad 2 from best buy in April. When we upgraded to iOS 6 both our iPad 2 and our 3rd gen iPad had Siri...in the last half hour we have dicovered that best buy gave us an iPad 3 instead of a 2 for the price of a 2 ;) so I withdraw previous comments.

Actually Voice Control is not on the iPad 2

I'm pretty sure Siri uses its own microchip. So a software update wouldn't add it, because the hardware isn't there! But don't hold me to that!

I dont think it uses special microchip as i got siri running on my ipad 2 . As good as the real one. Using certain unoffical tweak of course.
