I updated my iDevices to iOS 6 today (September 19 2012) and noticed that none of my devices had YouTube on it's homepage. Where did YouTube go?

Apple removed the YouTube app. Google has a YouTube app on iTunes that you can download here: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/youtube/id544007664?mt=8
Yes I realized that after a little research & I also found the app. I was also wondering, if I downgraded to iOS 5.1.1, will I get the YouTube app back? I personally don't like the app that google is publishing. Thanks for your help!

There is no such thing as downgrading...I agree, the app for youtube *****. What i did was bookmark the Youtube page to my homescreen and wala...there ya go...good as new.

It's probably more complicated than that.
Google is the creator of the Android operating system which did not exist when the iPhone launched in 2007.
Google now owns YouTube and was also the provider of the data that underpinnned the old Maps app.

Charlene: the link you provided is for the iPhone/iPod; however, there is no YouTube app for the iPad. There are developers who have released different variations of YouTube but still not the same.
I am very disappointed Apple.

@Sevorga, yes I agree. I was so excited about iOS 6. But I always use YouTube. I am very disappointed as well from Apple.
The app is still not the same as the previous YouTube.
Do you guys want to do something about this? Maybe we can get it back by somehow contacting Apple.
The problem with the Google YT app is that it's not designed for the iPad. So the quality of it is crappy. Guess I'll just have to bookmark YT until someone develops a decent app that is meant for the iPad.
