iPad won't connect to Wi-Fi after updating to iOS 6

I have a major problem. After I updated to iOS 6, my wifi would not work on my iPad anymore. I have a Netgear WGT624v3 wireless router. However, I am not having the error on other devices where I am routed to the "login" Apple page like everyone else seems to have, I cannot connect to my network at all. My iPad can see the network, but even with the network unsecured, I still get a "Unable to connect to _____ network" message. It's funny as well, because I downgraded back to iOS 5.1.1 and my Internet works just fine with my iPad. Could someone explain this, or at least say you've had a problem like this? I'm starting to think that maybe Apple has decided not to support my router anymore, or there is a bug in iOS 6 with wifi. Help would be greatly appreciated!

Turn off your iPad and router wait 15 seconds and turn them back on.

On your iPad, go to 'Settings > Wi-Fi' and turn Wi-Fi on and off. Connect to your router.

If this still doesn't work, go to 'Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.' Your device will restart, then reconnect with your router.

Hope this helps :)

For those having the issue where their devices connect for a few seconds, and then they get some kind of Apple login page, and no connectivity, visit this page for a solution that works:

For those like me for whom the iphone or ipad will only fail to connect to certain routers, I don't know a solution, so I too am stuck.

Thanks for the "solution", but I also already had the latest firmware version installed on my Netgear router (at home). So, nothing to upgrade.

My iPad was working just fine before the IOS 6 upgrade.

But, c'mon. There is no other device that requires such an (router firmware) upgrade, and I have every other device possible connected and working perfectly to my wifi, including laptops, X-box, and phones. Am I really going to have to go to every Starbucks and ask them to make sure to upgrade their router's firmware?

This is an Apple problem, and they need to fix this ASAP.
