Sep 29, 2012 7:35 AM in response to stephenfrommadisonby Gat0r,Have pretty much given up on this app and will stick with Key Ring. (available in App store) Only found one other app that supports passbook and they want my cell phone number just to authorize it to work with passbook.
Claim they will send me a text with a link to authorize it's usage.
I don't think so...

Jan 30, 2013 7:16 AM in response to Gat0rby Iron Buckeye,For the life of me I've been unable to figure out what Passbook does. I've tried using it a handful of times and (as far as I can tell) all it does is give me an avenue to install merchant's apps. If I have to install the merchant's apps on my phone anyway, then what do I need passbook for?
The above is a serious question. Can someone please help me understand what this app is intended to do and how to use it?

Jan 30, 2013 6:04 PM in response to Iron Buckeyeby Royal,Passbook is a central place to store things like boarding passes and loyalty cards in one place on your phone. You can get passes from apps, email, or websites. As an example, if you download the Walgreens app, you can sign up for (or sign in to) your walgreens loyalty account and then add the pass to Passbook. You get to pick your favorite store and then whenever you are there, the pass is ready to use on the lock screen.
Another easy example is to visit http://www.coupons.com from your iPhone. You can add coupons directly to Passbook from the website.
