Sep 26, 2012 1:42 PM in response to nikB123by bamm64,I just got off the phone with a technical supervisor at apple who told me that he's sure someone from the manufacturer will come up with something soon and that I could not restore my phone to the previous operating system and that (even though it doesnt work on my stereo anymore) its still the best phone out there so thats just the way it is.
I will never buy another APPLE product EVER!!!!!! AMAZING!
These guys have gotten too big for their own good... the same cult movement that made them who they are, needs to put them in their place... I intend to spend as much energy as possible being an anti-apple evangelist... I will spend at least twice as much energy as when I was a loyal supporter!
Theyve been screwing up for quite some time now... Apple.. You finally earned my disgust!!!!

Sep 26, 2012 3:32 PM in response to achsterby jstumpalump;150,Also can not get mine to work on a Kenwood DNX6190HD, worked perfect with iPhone 4 and iOS 5 but iPhone 5 and iOS 6 do not work right. It plays songs through bluetooth but none of the stereo or stearing wheel controls work and there is no song metadata. Both those things worked before and were a huge reason I bought this head unit. Apple better get this fixed soon!

Sep 26, 2012 3:43 PM in response to nikB123by mjwassmer,So this situation made me do it. I got the Samsung Galaxy S3 last night. Works perfectly with my bluetooth in the car and syncing from iTunes was a breeze. Loving this... not going back.

Sep 26, 2012 4:21 PM in response to bamm64by rajan_g4,Stupid Apple. Have no idea what they are talking about. They really think they have taken over the market such that they expect everyone else to change for them.
They better be reading all the posts here and better do something to fix this issue asap.
To Apple Solutions Architect,
The basics of software development is to provide the ability to roll back UNCONDITIONALLY. Perhaps you should start thinking about this.

Sep 26, 2012 4:33 PM in response to rajan_g4by Matt_Ward,Ok i had a go at trying to connect my iphone 4s to my Mac book pro running the latest mountain lion version. Some thing that worked in ios5.1.1 does not work in ios6. In my bluetooth manager i can see the profile for my iphone (when it was ios5.1.1) and it displays that the device has the avrcp protocol enabled.
So its not just other devices but also macintosh products affected. Anyone else tried connecting iphone to MBP via bluetooth?? (Should i start a new thread??)

Sep 26, 2012 4:43 PM in response to Matt_Wardby Lighty_,@Matt_Ward: Tried it with my MacBook Air. Couldnt connect my iPhone 4, it says something like "non supported device". I have never tried before to connect my phone with my laptop, so i cannot tell whether it worked with iOS 5 or not. May I ask for what reason you are connection your iPhone with your Mac?

Sep 26, 2012 4:50 PM in response to Matt_Wardby jrwagz,@Matt_Ward: that is some very helpful and new information! I will certainly try to connect my iPhone5 to my MacBook Air tonight.
If that doesn't work, then is it CERTAINLY Apple's problem! And I will most certainly be giving them a call.

Sep 26, 2012 5:00 PM in response to jrwagzby jrwagz,So it looks like the only thing you can do with bluetooth from the iPhone to a macbook is to share your cellular data connection.
https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4168753?start=0&tstart=0
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4517
Can anybody confirm whether or not they can do this on iOS 6? I don't have a plan that will allow me to share my cellular data connection, otherwise I would try it myself.

Sep 26, 2012 5:07 PM in response to jrwagzby Lighty_,@jrwagz: Tried it. Worked. Turned my wifi on the Mac off, online connection worked.
I'm using latest Macbook Air and iPhone 4, both on latest software versions.

Sep 26, 2012 6:28 PM in response to nikB123by JJac11B,Well I just got my iPhone to connect to my car's head unit via Bluetooth, with steering wheel controls, touchscreen controls and metadata display. All I did was closed all background apps, then turned my phone completely off and back on. It auto connects again with full functionality with my car everytime I have tested it. Seems like such an easy answer, but it definitely worked for me. Hopefully this works for others with head unit problems.

Sep 26, 2012 9:34 PM in response to JJac11Bby rajan_g4,@JJacllB,
Do you have to do this everytime you enter your car?? Close apps, switch off and ON and let it reconnect???
