Q: bluetooth music issues after iOS6 update

As you can see from previous posts here Pioneer is working on a FW update. They also have information about iOS 6 on their site. http://www.pioneer.eu/eur/landing/products/update/car-io6.html

I have the same unit as you, DEH-6400BT. I know it's a sucky solution, but for now you can at least use a Lightning cable to get controll capabilities back. I've run the USB-cable to my glove box.

Note: After deleting the Bluetooth profile and repairing, Clarion system worked fine....until it was stolen.

In case some of you haven't, please let Apple know how you feel about this issue via their feedback page. They don't always pay attention to these boards. At least if they get flooded with feedback (officially) they 'may' pay attention.

Has anybody heard about a firmware update from Alpine that is supposed to address this issue?

Or a Kenwood firmware update by chance? Keep looking on the site for some info and they have nothing posted...also contacted C/S and they were pretty much worthless on the matter

Looks like 6.0.1 is now available.  I'm going to run it and let you guys know what happens!

Just tried couple of minutes ago, still Bluetooth issue with my Pioneer AVH-8400BT ... rhaaaaaa

Same here, 6.0.1 still not working, I attempted first with the existing connection, no go.  Then I cleared BT data on headunit, then on iphone 4s, did a new connection from phone and still the same thing.  I am using a Pioneer 4400BH.

6.0.1 still exhibits the same exact problem - nothing has changed on the bluetooth end which doesn't surprise me since apple has never really acknowledged that there was a problem in the first place. eff apple!

Sorry you guys got your hopes up. iOS 6.0.1 was never believed to address these issues anyway.

Same here. Kenwood KDC-BT952HD. No track information on the display. Can't move the track forward or back, and Play/Pause now mutes the music instead of pausing.

Same with my Kenwood DNX9990HD. I emailed the Kenwood tech team and this is what I received back from them,

Please note that we are documenting all issues regarding the iOS6 update and iPhone 5; however, we cannot confirm when or if an update will be released by Kenwood."

With the 6.0.1 update my bluetooth issues have been resolved and yes 4.0 HF profile Apple is using is backward compatible. When I first purchased my I5 I could not control the vol with my Motorola car bluetooth. I also could not use the steering controls when streaming with my Acura. After the update and deleting and repairing my phone, all issues have been resolved. My Motorola Bluetooth has the old HF profile 1. Im a happy camper.
