Dec 30, 2012 7:38 AM in response to D&G12345by Dirtylobster,Volvo V60 - the never ending problem never... ENDS!
I will not go into the dock+BT problems that came after 4.3 - it is obvious that Apple do not care the slightest about that BUT after last update the BT sound is so bad it is impossible to have a normal conversation over it.
It sounds like the bitrate is about 25bytes/s and it constantly breaks.
I am more than fed up having the car to service once every 6 months to see if there are any software update that solves APPLES problem. I say Apple since everything was absolutely perfect until IOS 4.3 saw the day (from a "music in car perspective")

Dec 31, 2012 1:33 PM in response to matsayzby code.mafia,I have a Pioneer AVH-P4400BH as well. Same problems as everyone else. I did find this page in the manual that explains how to do a Bluetooth Connection Software Update...now if Pioneer will just give us an update. I sent them an email this morning asking for an update but haven't gotten a reply yet.

Jan 11, 2013 6:31 AM in response to nikB123by jv_carpediem18,Good news for Pioneer owners. The Pioneer Europe site released firmware updates for AVH-2400BT, AVH-4400BT, and AVH-8400BT yesterday. Just a question though--- since the file is the same for all three models, would it work if I used it on another model, say.. AVH-P4450BT?
Thanks in advance!

Jan 11, 2013 6:51 AM in response to jv_carpediem18by apu2009,Probably not. When it comes to firmware, tread very very carefully. If it's not advertised for your model, don't flash it.
Glad to see Pioneer finally released an update. It's on the European website though so I don't know if I can flash it on my North American unit. Gonna look into it.

Jan 11, 2013 11:16 AM in response to edatlby OriginFR,I just made the Firmware update with my MacBook Pro
The procedure is typically the same, except for the menu you have to open to initiate transfer. Use the dropdown bluetooth menu "browse new device" (sorry for the trad, but my menus are in French )

Download the .zip and extract the file. Clear the Bluetooth memory from your unit using the instructions provided by Pioneer.
Activate the Software Upgrade mode on your head unit and then tranfser the .plf file to the "Updates" folder on the headunit. It should automatically start updating and take a couple of minutes before displaying "Completed"
