Jan 11, 2013 11:18 AM in response to Jody.78by OriginFR,For me, yes, it fixed the track/artist display with my iPhone 4S.

Does it fix fhe problem with track/artist names being streamed to the headset ??? I updated my DEH-8400BT and I can change tracks etc via the head unit but no track or artist data :-(
No. I have the same unit and it does not allow this to happen. If you want metadata information, use USB. As per Pioneer specification page:
http://www.pioneer.eu/eur/products/25/121/61/DEH-8400BT/specs.html
You are able to use the audio streaming and handsfree telephony at the same time, although audio streaming functionalities have no display capabilities.

Jan 11, 2013 11:23 AM in response to proH03by OriginFR,Arf, sorry, my unit is a AVH-8400BT and the firmware update also corrected the display issue. It seems that this is not the case for the DEH-8400BT yet :/

Jan 11, 2013 12:27 PM in response to nikB123by gleep52,I would like to know if anyone in America has applied this firmware to the DEH-P9400BH

Jan 11, 2013 12:37 PM in response to apu2009by concreteBAMF,I just did mine (AVH-P2400BT North America Unit) and it says successful and displays the current firmware. I can stream audio to it just fine and the controls all work like they used to. Metadata does not look to be working though but I can live with that.
EDIT-After a couple power cycles metadata is back and auto play. It works just like it did before IOS6....Thumbs up to Pioneer for dropping this firmware.
I wasnt worried about bricking it as the half *** BT functionality was virtually useless to me anyhow.

Jan 11, 2013 1:15 PM in response to concreteBAMFby pgkehle,Has anyone tried the AVH-P4400BH?
They look identical (http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/DVD-Receivers/AVH-P4400BH vs http://www.pioneer.eu/eur/products/25/109/281/AVH-4400BT/page.html) but the internals can be different of course.
Anyone know if there is a difference in AM/FM frequency bands between Europe and NA? That's the only real reason I can think of to have two different lines of the similar product.
