Ios 6 no flagged email folder and no option to flag emails

After downloading ios 6 on my 4s I do not have the option to flag emails. If I hit the flag button the only option I have is to mark read. Also there is no flagged folder, however there is a VIP folder. My wife's iPhone 4 was the same way at first then a few hours later she had the option to flag emails but she didn't have the folder for it either. I have never had either working. I downloaded ios 6 @1pm as soon as it was available and it is now almost midnight and it still is not an option. Please help me!

Vodkajello, thanks for your input but I don't think you read my post correctly. The method of adding my domain DID work for the google apps account. What DID NOT work was adding google as the domain for the NON google apps account, as instructed by the website. I am still unable to flag items on my NON google apps account set up as exchange.

Got it. The key is to enter your whole gmail address when using the domain "google". For example jsmith@gmail.com rather than just jsmith. (That detail might be worth adding to the website as I am sure there are many others out there who were in the same situation)

Another thing that may catch users off guard is, initially, you will get a message saying that the connection to the mail server failed. When that happens, don't touch a thing and wait 1-2 minutes. It will recover on its own.

Thanks for the tips all. Hopefully this helps others too.

Sorry for the confusion above.

I get accurate function with regard to the flags when I do the dual account method I listed.

Even if I fill in the domain in the optional domain box I do NOT get the right number of flagged e-mail showing on the phone. Something is definitely not right.

Keep in mind that I am using Google Apps for Business. The flags do not work correctly unless I use the dual account method I listed above.
