iOS 6 Syncing Notes Issue (iCloud)

Hi there

I upgraded to iOS 6 this morning and now i'm having issues with syncing notes. When I use notes on my Macbook Pro (Mountain Lion) they sync normally to iCloud and I checked on icloud.com and they appear there just fine.

Unfortunately, nothing appears at all on my iPhone 4s. I tried turning iCloud notes off and on, on the iPhone and still no luck. Creating a note on my iPhone 4S doesn't sync anywhere either?

Any ideas?

Thanks

Chris

I am having a more complicated version of the same issue - my notes are not syncing on either my MBP (Mountain Lion) or on my iPad. What I type into iCloud directly will show up on my iPad. But what I type on my iPad or on my MBP stays there.

When you say "Delete Account" what account are you talking about? Also, in System Preferences, I have Notes checked under iCloud, but every time I close notes, System Preferences unchecks it.

A third, very related question. When I set up my iPad with iOS6 last night, it asked me to create a @icloud.com email to sync notes. I did that. On icloud.com, that is called my Apple ID. But I have another Apple ID that I have used for everything else and in fact that's how I logged on to this support. Which Apple ID am I supposed to be using?

I'll apreciate any help help. So far, ever since Mountain Lion came out, I have had nothing but problems with Notes and with Reminders.

I'm joining the rest with the same ISSUE.

I tried deleting acct > erase on iPhone and reinstalling iCloud w original apple id with no success. It doesn't even let me select 'On', it prompts me instead to create new iCloud email. I refuse to create another iCloud email cause I fear I will lose notes.

I have very highly sensitive material in ALL my notes and this type of dependency on 'tech' is what scares me about the future.

Other than this issue my 4S is very quick and snappy!

Hours after installing ios 6 on my 4S my notes vanished. It kept prompting me to create new icloud email. I did and notes finally turned on, but it was completely empty.

I had no choice but to create a new icloud email and now I could turn on 'notes'. after I realized that theres '0' notes.

I think i loss all my ******* sensitive notes!!! Im so ******* ******!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Toasted,

I tried your fix and it did not work for me. I still can't get my notes to go to the cloud or getting new ones created in the cloud to go to the phone. I talked to another tech about this issue and he has referred my case to their engineers. They are going to find 'my' server and try to figure what's wrong with it. He said he would get back to me when they get back to him. Supposedly, takes a few days. Time will tell. Glad you fixed your problem.

Anyone else out there that's got an idea on how to fix this issue?

In my personal case, my iDevices reveive correctly the new notes from my Mac but previous notes of my iDevices (before iOS 6) are not synced to the Mac (10.8.2). There is a workaround: copy/paste_in_new_notes on the iDevices.

Anyone has a better tip or an "official" worflow to sync in both directions the notes created in iOS 5 once the idevice is updated to iOS 6 ?

Thank you.

Same for me - iphone 5. Adding on the phone to either Notes, Reminders or iCal doesn't add to iCloud or MBP apps. Adding on icloud doesnt update phone even though the phone says thery are connected.

Turning on or off sync for notes, or anything else ,just spins until the phone battery runs out.

Removing and readding icloud a/c on phone makes no difference, neither does hard-closing and reopning app.

So now I have no calendar, contacts, notes, reminders on my phone, along with maps that get me lost. The most expensive and amazingly well built pile of ****e I have ever owned.
