I downloaded the new IOS 6 on my Iphone 4 and it restarts and then comes up with a itunes icon with a usb below it. So I plug my phone in the computer and itunes pops up and then it says " Your phone could not be updated because it is in recovery mode and then it says to recover it below but I dont remember when I recovered it last so now my phone is frozen!! What do I do?
Mine is stuck in revory mode i need a way to get pictures off of mine without restoring it!
once in recovery there is no way to get it out. did you back up your phone
My iPhone 4S is also in recovery mode for some reason after downloading iOS6. When it tries to restore, it seems to be stuck in a loop and going nowhere, the task bar in iTunes just scrolls the 'restoring' message with the Apple logo on the blackscreen illuminated on the handset.
Any ideas as to what I can do?
Put Your iPhone into DFU mode, (NOT recovery mode), than iTunes is coming up, screen of your iPhone stays black. Thank alt click recover. Download ios 6.ipsw (google it) en than select it. Than it wil do the upgrade to ios 6 again in dfu mode. After that it will reboot and your ready. Goodluck.
same issue keeps staying at the apple logo and error message 3014 in itunes when i try to restore. called apple and they wouldnt help me looks like im on my own

Upgrade iTunes to the latest version available and reboot your computer
Download the iPhone Firmware ios 6 manually
Hard rebooted the iPhone (press and hold both home and the power button until an Apple logo appears)
Popp the sim card out
Connected the iPhone to your computer and when iTunes is telling it has detected a device requiring a recovery option click restore and select the downloaded firmware
When the iPhone rebooted having successfully applied the firmware re-inserted the sim card, wait for the iPhone to tell you it was activated
