It's working with my iphone 4. You do need to turn it on for each of your supported devices that you want to connect to.

Settings

Bluetooth

Go to options for the device you want to use MAP with by touching the arrow on the right of the name of the device you want to connect to.

Slide on the Show Notifications slider option on the page that comes up. If it doesn't show this option then the device you are trying to connect with either doesn't have the MAP function or it is not yet enabled on the device.

Obviously the device you want to use MAP with needs to show as "connected" under the bluetooth menu

You may need to change a setting on the device you are connecting to but that should be it for the iphone.

Good luck

Hi, I have the same problem with my iPhone 4. With ios5, it connected to the system in my car but the function of text message didn't work even if it was showing connected. Now with ios6 it was working until I tried to send the text message, then it disconnected. I paired the phone to the car again and now the text message function doesn't work even if all the function seems to be connected. I've tried 3 models from Blackberry, a Motorolla and they all work very well in the car. By the way the car is a Nissan Altima with Nissanconnect.

I'm by no means an expert but at least it's promising that you did get it to connect although briefly.

I would in order

1. delete the connection on both the iphone and the car you are connecting to

2. hard reset the iphone (home and power buttons simultaneously) - may not make any difference but........

3. rename the iphone in itunes (important step)

4. pair the iphone with the car

5. turn on show notifications (hopefully it shows up)

6. cross my fingers as I'm then out of options

I know it's cold comfort but it works on my iphone 4 so there is hope and bluetooth is meant to be a standard but I'm sure each device can have its slight differences

Good luck
