Again: NO LYRICS in Music App iOS 6 ?

Sooo, was I the only one waiting for iOS 6 and, at the same time, expecting the finally see lyrics in Music app?

I am really starting to regret getting my ipad in the first place, I said it in another post few minutes ago. No lyrics, no YouTube app, no Flash Player... I use my ipad for YT and Music. One of those is gone; the other *****...

Congrats Apple! .!.

Like on Notes app? Yeah right, I vould have got an Android **** for that...

I really liked lyrics on iPad (and I still do on iPhone, all my songs have lyrics) and this frustrates me...

As for YT (I know it's off topic but still) - HUGE DISSAPOINTMENT! Big step backwards if u ask me...

Omg, I really hope a miracle happens and lyrics come back to music app for iPad... :(

You are not alone, I've complained to apple about the lack of functionality on the iPad.

Simple things like loss of lyrics, music video playlists (so one will play after another), voice control on the music player, no clock!!! just make the the iPad seem like a downgrade from even the 3rd gen iPod touch. The is no excuse for stripping out these functions.

I'm growing to despise Apple for their lack of consideration and not listening.

Another HUGELY DISSAPPOINTING iOS release for iPad.

Yeah from the point of view of a customer Apple should consider seriously the customer input for their products the Lyrics funcionality, Maps, and I do not know, honestly what else, these loss, indeed, have been claimed by need and they still continue releasing updates, or upgrades, without a feature that used to work in previous versions!

Marketing should know about it.... where are you guys??? Thanks!

How you see then in the iPhone? I always wanted to have this and never see them directly in the iPod or now music App?

I have used Soundhound and musiXmatch and both require the web connection and they are not what I am expecting.

Having each song with its lyrics should be part of the meta-data we obtain when buying them from iTunes or Amazon.

Why something this simple is not there? Even we need to save the lyrics into iTunes, why if the song has its lyrics it doesn't show up in iOS?

I see in the iPhone iOS 6.01 settings for Muscic a Lyrics & Podcast Info toggle switch and it does nothing for the lyrics?

Gracenote has all the lyrics available, but Apple has chosen not to make them available automatically (?!!) so you have to enter them yourself.

1) Make sure you have lyrics for your songs. To check: in iTunes Right Click on a song >Get Info >click the Lyrics tab (if you have no lyrics you could just type them in here or get them automatically for your whole library using something like Lyricsfetcher http://lyricsfetcher.sourceforge.net/html/user-guide.html.

2) Make sure Lyrics are enabled on your iPhone/iPod: Settings >Music >Lyrics & Podcast Info - On.

3) Sync your iPhone/iPod

4) Choose a song that definitely has Lyrics metadata,

5) Tap once, anywhere on the album artwork, and the lyrics will appear with the scrubber bar.

Guys, I have no experience on communicating with apple. Is there any chance apple replies to our complaints so that we get an idea on what to expect for the future about viewing lyrics on ipad?

This is a user-to-user technical support forum. Apple doesn't participate here. You can submit feedback here:

Note that though they read feedback, they don't neccessarily reply.

Best of luck.
