How do I get Xvid AVI movie with "ms" a/52 audio onto a DVD and have sound?
Hello,
This seems like a hot topic, the a52 audio codec for quicktime, but I have not found an answer yet!
I've downloaded various codecs for quicktime that claim to be able to allow the a/52 audio to play in quicktime, but no solution.
I've given up on trying to find a codec! Here is my situation...
I have downloaded video that I would like to burn to DVD. The video is an Xvid AVI file with the a/52 audio stream, whatever that means. There is no sound when I play it in Quicktime, but I get sound with VLC. Unwittingly, I burned a 2 hour DVD with these videos, and when they were done, I found out that there was no sound!
So, is there anyway I can burn these to DVD with sound, or at least convert them to another format that will be able to be burned onto a DVD.
Also, a side question, I use Toast for my DVD video burning needs, but feel that the encoding process is very slow. Is there another app I can use that would encode faster that Toast, or are there specific video formats that encode faster than others on Toast? What video format is DVD, anyway?
Hope these are not silly questions!
Thank you for your time!
