Q: How can I get Leopard to run iTunes 10.7

Okay I have a friend that is using Leopard 10.5.8. And is not running into a wall when he trys to snyc his iPhone 4 it tells him he needs the current iTunes which is 10.7. He trys to download it but 10.7 wont run on Leopard. iTunes 10.6.3 runs on Leopard but we can seem to be able to download that verison. Is there anyway he can get iTunes 10.7 installed on to Leopard or will he have to upgrade to Snow Leopard (which we all know is out of date and a pain to be able to fine).

No go I am afraid. Here are the requirements.

Macintosh System Requirements
Mac computer with an Intel Core processor and 512MB of RAM
OS X version 10.6.8 or later
Safari 4.0.3 or later
400MB of available disk space
Broadband Internet connection to use the iTunes Sto

Thank you, Sadly I came to that finding my self. I was hoping there was something he could do. I found Snow Leopard selling for 60 bucks and higher on amazon, which is crazy seeing how at the beginning of the summer it was 19.99...

Far cheaper if you call Apple...

It's been pulled from the online store & Apple Stores, so you have to call Apple to buy it, last I heard.

Could you temporarily tell/trick the machine you are running a higher level of OS to install th software..I've seen this kind of workaround published for other situations like this.
