My ipod classic does not recognise my fm Transmitter ( radio does not come up on menu )

Which FM transmitter are you using and does it list your iPod as compatible with it on the product's support site? Does it work with other iPods?

this is a bliss transmitter and says that it is compatable with the ipod classic but I have not tried it on any other ipods.

Take a few minutes to verify that you actually have an iPod Classic and not an older iPod Video.
If so, try resetting the iPod with the FM Transmitter still connected. To do this, press and hold both the Select/Center and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
