How to use Target app with Passbook?

I'm having trouble with the Target app to utilize Passbook. I tried going to My Target, and then the mobile coupon section, it had me fill out a form, sent me a text message, and then when I clicked the link, it said there was a problem and to do the sign up again. I did and it was the same issue. I don't want to keep burning through text messages. If you guys got it going, what did you do? Also, has anyone figured out how to to see the list of eligible apps for Passbook, once you do add one? Thanks!

For finding a list of Passbook supported apps, AppShopper.com has started compiling a list here:

As far as adding the Target Coupons, the way it's supposed to work is you receive that coupon via text and there's an "Add to Passbook" button. That button doesn't appear for me, even though I receive the coupon fine.

Most likely, it'll take a couple days for Target to sort things out.

Yeah, it's just odd as some people were reporting it having worked, especially when I can't get it to sign up for the mobile coupons.

When you recieve the the text for the coupon clicking the link will open it in the Target app. In the Target app open the coupon and scroll to the bottom, there will be a button to add it to Passbook.

So you can't actually checkout with the Target app? Even if I link my CC to it?

I had the same issue with it not allowing me to get past the sign up screen. I stopped at that point using my phone

and created the account on my computer. I then logged on the phone app and it works fine. I used it a couple times so far at Target and Walgreens.

what i don't understand is, why do i need to give out my mobile phone number to Target to get coupons on a web-based application. why can't everything just be downloaded through the application? because honestly, i don't want to give my mobile phone number to target so they can sell it to every one of their "affiliates".

Open the Target app > My Target > Mobile coupons > scroll to the end tap the add to passbook button.

There are two different options for getting mobile coupons within the Target app. I tried the first text option that appears and got a text message link that just took me to a web page for cashiers to scan.

Then I went to the app option below:

1. Within the Target App click My Target

2. Click Mobile Coupons and follow text instructions from here

You will be taken back to the coupons within the Target App this time and can Click Add to Passbook
