Try updating your QuickTime Player to the most recent version (7.7.2). Does that get you past the errors?

Sep 28, 2012 7:08 AM in response to b noirby grenthal,uninstalled everything that was not essential for work and deactivated antivirus, etc. no luck with a new user so it seems to be system wide. i recently installed VC# express and it activated WinSxS so i had like 8 versions of the VC++ runtimes, uninstalled all of it and run windows update to get just one of each.
I'll have to reinstall XP or update to W7 faster that i wanted.
APSDaemon keeps crashing (no error or anything) but my iphone charges and i can download pictures. no sync though.
