Since downloading new itunes and restoring my ipod, it has completely crashed, HELP ?!

I downloaded the new version of Itunes, and upon syncing my Ipod it told me my ipod was corruptes so i restored it, since then when i plug my Ipod in to any form of charger it will have the low battery charging symbol for a while, then go to the apple screen and repeat the process?
