Anyone still having IOS 6 wifi issues?

I'm currently waiting on Apple support to call me back about this issue, but I thought I would reach out here to see if anyone else is having similar issues.

I upgraded to IOS 6 yesterday afternoon, and immediately after I could no longer connect to the Wifi at my place of employment. Everyone had this issue, no big deal.

Went home, Wifi worked fine.

Came into work this morning and I am still unable to connect. I have tried all of the various recommended fixes, and even gone so far as to do a complete restore. I work at a university with multiple networks and access points and have tried connecting to several, both secure and unsecure, with no luck.

This is what happens:

Unsecure Networks: Attempt to connect, wheel spins, Error Message: "Unable to Connect"

Secure Network: Attempt to connect, prompted for password, enter password, Error Message: "Incorrect Password" (Yes I entered the correct password, I tried multiple times, and the IT tech was able to connect to it with his iPad 2 running IOS 5)

I am also not the only one, everyone on campus who has upgraded their iPad 3 to IOS 6 is unable to connect. (All staff/factulty have iPads, most have upgraded)

I have spoken with the IT department and they are baffled, they have tried rebooting various routers and access points to no avail.

Obviously there is something different happening in IOS 6 that is causing these issues. My question is has anyone else encoutered this issue, and if so what have you done to fix it?

I have seen people above who have upgraded firmware on their personal wireless routers with success, but for a university with literally hundress of access points and routers this is out of the question, at least in the short term.

I'm sorry, but as several people already have pointed ut, this problem has nothing to do with the router. I've experienced this on several routers, and the only common factor has been - in my case - the iPhone 5 with iOS 6.1x. Sometimes I'm at full speed, most times it's down to a minimum.

It's either a hardware or a software problem - or a combination. But I'm getting tired of it. Surely, I will soon call Apple and ask for a new phone.

Ever since upgrading to iOS 6 in early February, my iPad 2 has had trouble holding a connection to wi-fi unless I am almost sitting next to the router! I used to get good connections throughout my house, now that is history and the situation is ruining my iPad experience. It keeps shifting to 3G and I am really concerned about using up my data plan. I also have an iPhone 3GS which is not experiencing the same wi-fi problems. I heard that it was the wi-fi drivers in the iPad iOS 6 software. Anyone have any more info?

There is no problem with the WiFi drivers in iOS 6.1.3. Forget about what you heard; it's all uninformed speculation and is worthless.

From your description it sounds like your iPad might have a hardware problem. Test your iPad on some other networks to see how it does. If it has problems there as well then contact Apple for service.

If it works well on other networks then a problem may have developed on your network.

I was having exactly the same problem tried everything called apple they sent me a box to send it to them they did diagnostics I just got an email saying my new iPad is on the way, it was extremely frustrating as I use my iPad2 for work, but i mailed it back to them on Monday I will have my new one by Thursday, very fast service, very helpful, I live Apple. Thanks, Tracy, I think I will make an appointment with the Genius Bar at our local Apple store and see if they can do the diagnostics there. I, too, use my iPad 2 extensively in my work. It has been a dream and a Godsend . . .until I did the upgrade. Can't see, however, how this would have damaged the machine. If they want to give me a new one that holds a decent wi-fi signal, I won't argue!

My wi-fi router is the modem supplied by our cable company, Brighthouse. We upgraded it last week to try to boost the signal. Everything but the iPad 2 is working beautifully. They did change the name and password at my request before they left. I think Tracy's experience with a damaged sensor could be my problem, too. This only started after the upgrade. I have AppleCare on my iPad, so it shouldn't be a problem getting them to fix or replace my unit.

It does sound identical to what was happening with my iPad 2, they were really quick with replacing my iPad I know you won't have a problem, there is no way that it could be anything but the update, everything worked perfectly before that stupid update then it was ****, I too was under the warranty thank goodness. Their exact words were fried the wifi sensor, that has to be the problem, they will fix it and make it right for sure :)

I just got an iPhone 5 with IOS 6 which wouldn't connect to my Draytek wireless router. Old MacBook and original iPad connect fine. Upgraded the firmware on both the phone and the router. Nada. But having read a comment on here, I then turned on the wifi on the Mac Mini with Mountain Lion that is connected via an Ethernet cable to the router and bingo. Curious, mystifying and annoying but at least it works. Now let's see if can maintain the connection, speed, etc.

I used to be in love with my iPhone but this

latest issue if left unresolved will result in me

Switching phones entirely to another

Platform.

I'm not a tech guy. I'm not a fighter.

I'm a lover... Of solutions that work!

Why the heck can't I use my home network

Wifi?

It used to work now I'm unable to join Network!

Is this some cruel hoax from Apple?

I'm running version 6.1.3(10B329)

and my modem firmware is 3.4.03.

I tried reseting through the setting menu

A reset of network settings then retype password

But it did not work!

Help me please

You can try to exchange the phone if nothing would work until got one that work. I know some had exchanged 3 times to get one that work... I'm still using 6.1.2 as I heard that some claim that 6.1.3 had caused their device to be less responsive. The 6.0 is a joke and The 6.1 had made my ipad3 slow in network response. I won't go back to that since I am used to the iOS 5 network response when I purchased my ipad3.
