Anyone still having IOS 6 wifi issues?

I'm currently waiting on Apple support to call me back about this issue, but I thought I would reach out here to see if anyone else is having similar issues.

I upgraded to IOS 6 yesterday afternoon, and immediately after I could no longer connect to the Wifi at my place of employment. Everyone had this issue, no big deal.

Went home, Wifi worked fine.

Came into work this morning and I am still unable to connect. I have tried all of the various recommended fixes, and even gone so far as to do a complete restore. I work at a university with multiple networks and access points and have tried connecting to several, both secure and unsecure, with no luck.

This is what happens:

Unsecure Networks: Attempt to connect, wheel spins, Error Message: "Unable to Connect"

Secure Network: Attempt to connect, prompted for password, enter password, Error Message: "Incorrect Password" (Yes I entered the correct password, I tried multiple times, and the IT tech was able to connect to it with his iPad 2 running IOS 5)

I am also not the only one, everyone on campus who has upgraded their iPad 3 to IOS 6 is unable to connect. (All staff/factulty have iPads, most have upgraded)

I have spoken with the IT department and they are baffled, they have tried rebooting various routers and access points to no avail.

Obviously there is something different happening in IOS 6 that is causing these issues. My question is has anyone else encoutered this issue, and if so what have you done to fix it?

I have seen people above who have upgraded firmware on their personal wireless routers with success, but for a university with literally hundress of access points and routers this is out of the question, at least in the short term.

I solved by using "mHotspot" free third party software. "Connectivity" also worked, but was shareware with ads. I tried all of the other suggestions on here to get an adhoc connection to work to no avail.

Windows 7 laptop with ethernet internet connection.

iPod 5G

Disclaimer: I have no interest in either software. I am just trying to help with a big problem that Apple seems to be ignoring.

Well I avoided upgrading to iOS 6 because of all the bad comments Ihad read initialy. Since iOS 6 was released all my Apps have had iOS 6 compatability upgrades I took the big step. The upgrade installed like a dream, I don't know if it was because I resisted untill iOS 6.1.2 version or the fact that all my other apps were ready. I like the additions and extras and congratulate apple, although I knew they would get it right in the end. It is my wife's iPad and being a complete technophobe, she is not at all happy with the changes and believes I made the changes just to annoy her..😉 BT hub 3 router standard broadband - download and installation took about an 3/4 hour.. GoodLuck

Yes, I'm still having WiFi issues with streaming... I have a youtube app on my phone and I use that to watch videos and movies. I've been having problems since my last update about 5 days ago. This is annoying. When are they going to fix it? I, for a minute, thought my phone was overloaded. I havd no idea that my phone was having issues because of the last update. Now i can barely use it for streaming anything.

My iPad and iPhone 5 were updated to ios 6.1.2 and my WiFi didn't work. I went to Best Buy where I purchased the iPad and the tech pushed both power buttons at the same time. After the system shut down he restarted the iPad. He then went to Safari and connected to their wireless network. It came up.

When I got home the WiFi still didn't work so I went to Safari and entered into Yahoo. The system took me to my Cisco Router and asked for my password. I entered that and now I'm back onto my WiFi network. Did the same thing on my cellphone and it connected also.

I am also having Wifi connection problems since updating to ios6.1.2. I have an iPhone 4 and an iPad, they occasionally connect but not very often. I think Apple must be missing Steve Jobs. But you would think thy were more professional than to leave so many peopl in the quandary. Really irritating!!!!!!!

Same issue - wifi disconnects after my iphone is locked.

Sometimes cellular network & wifi network both disconnected without locking the iphone

Reporting your issue gets you nothing. Try doing some research and trying the numerous suggestions for fixing various problems. One might work for you. Sitting back and wating will get you nowhere.

In general, it should be very obvious by now that Apple doesn't consider a WiFi problem to exist. Forget all the conspiracy theories about incompetent engineers, ignoring the problem, sweeping things under the rug, cause and effect of iOS 6, etc. If there really were a big problem the tech blogs would be all over it. As it stands we have some individuals with varying issues making a big noise.

Then there's the WiFi technology itself and all the myriad problems that can effect it. It's a radio signal afterall with all the nastiness that comes with such a signal.
