Q: Anyone still having IOS 6 wifi issues?

I'm currently waiting on Apple support to call me back about this issue, but I thought I would reach out here to see if anyone else is having similar issues.

I upgraded to IOS 6 yesterday afternoon, and immediately after I could no longer connect to the Wifi at my place of employment.  Everyone had this issue, no big deal.

Went home, Wifi worked fine.

Came into work this morning and I am still unable to connect. I have tried all of the various recommended fixes, and even gone so far as to do a complete restore.   I work at a university with multiple networks and access points and have tried connecting to several, both secure and unsecure, with no luck.

This is what happens:

Unsecure Networks: Attempt to connect, wheel spins, Error Message: "Unable to Connect"

Secure Network: Attempt to connect, prompted for password, enter password, Error Message: "Incorrect Password"  (Yes I entered the correct password, I tried multiple times, and the IT tech was able to connect to it with his iPad 2 running IOS 5)

I am also not the only one, everyone on campus who has upgraded their iPad 3 to IOS 6 is unable to connect. (All staff/factulty have iPads, most have upgraded)

I have spoken with the IT department and they are baffled, they have tried rebooting various routers and access points to no avail.

Obviously there is something different happening in IOS 6 that is causing these issues.  My question is has anyone else encoutered this issue, and if so what have you done to fix it?

I have seen people above who have upgraded firmware on their personal wireless routers with success, but for a university with literally hundress of access points and routers this is out of the question, at least in the short term.

I have tried every fix known to man to try and fix this.  Not one thing has worked.  I've had a gut full.  Never will I upgrade again until a month later when all the bugs are ironed out.

    Have you tried...

Reset networks settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

    This one works for me.

My wifi is connected through secure DSL. Whenever I connect to Internet, URL is redirected to DSL provider site and ask for password. Everything was fine until I upgrade my 4s to IOS 6. My wifi is not working it keep on toggle between 3G and wifi without connecting. Fortunately, I have not updated my iPad (still on IOS 5.1.1). I have to login first from my iPad to my DSL network. Then my iPhone 4S works perfectly on wifi.

Is there any solution to this problem?????

I've tried all of the fixes suggested here, too, and unfortunately, none work for me either.  We have one 3GS that wasn't upgraded and that one works just fine connecting to Wifi.  It is very very annoying, to say the least.

I agree with everything you said--I, too, tried calling them but Apple Care recording said that I had to call back during business hours.  Of course, they didn't state the business hours.

I change the channel on my router to 3 (was on 2) my 3gs was showing that I was connected to my network but no net access, the channel changes seems to have fixed it (for Now)

Thank you everyone for your suggestions, unfortunately mine is still not working. Starting to think its a hardware problem as it doesn't seem to want to pick up my neighbours wifi either- my iPhone 4 an iPad 3rd gen all work on his and my wifi, just the iPhone 5 that doesn't. Just thought I would make an appointment at the apple store, next available slot next Saturday! This is really starting to annoy me. Hope it is a software issue not hardware but the silence from apple is telling, seeing that so many people are also having issues.

Fingers crossed for a solution fast!

Absolutely a result of upgrading to IOS 6 software.  Not a hardware issue.

Hope so, just seems odd that my iPhone 4, iPad 3rd generation and my girlfriends 4s all on IOS 6 seem to work fine on my router.

Oh well hopefully well hear something from apple soon

Thanks. Good to know. Btw the same problem happened again after I repaired it and I gigot it to work again but it still wasn't working.

So basically while I selected the network and while it was connecting to it, before it could do the self test I opened safari and went to my service providers home page, (ID and password were in safari memory) and clicked login.

Took me a few tries, but it worked. Also I don't know if this helps but it's a good idea to clear all cookies and data and history.

The whole thing is rather odd.  I'm waiting for someone to answer at Apple Support to see if I can get to the bottom of this.  For us, the only device that connects is the one that wasn't upgraded, and the problems started right after the upgrades were done so I am truly convinced it is a software problem.
