How many VIP's can you have for your VIP inbox in iOS6?

i am only receiving notifications for one of my VIP's. I have deleted and readded. I have updated my contacts, i have turned the phone on and off to no avail. i have iPhone 4, with upgrade to iOS6. my stars are showing up next to my designated VIP's, but i am only receiving notices for one of the 5 i have.
