Iphone 4s or Iphone 5

So I have had my Iphone 4 for about 15 months and I will not lie, it is probably the best phone I have owned. I am a strong believer that if you are doing the IOS upgrades and updating you apps, then your phone will last. My battery life is still about 8-10 hours after heavy usage and everything works great for me.

Now the issue is my fiance, she is finally, after 2 years getting out of android and coming over to the Iphone. But her issue is that Iphone 5 is out but Iphone 4s is a great phone still and the $100 price diffrence is appealing. She is a moderete user, little bit of online usage, facebook, lots of photos and videos, music but mostly talking on the phone and texting is what she will use it for.

My questions is will the Iphone 4s be a relevant phone 2 years from now, or should she just go with the Iphone 5? I think for her the 4s is a quality phone and will serve her needs just fine, but I don't know enough about the 5 to make a judgement call for her.

just like the iphone 4 it is slowly bing cycled out and not getting access to most of ios 6 i do beleive that iphone 5 would be better

ok, that is good to know. I will say that after I updated my 4 to IOS 6, i have noticed that it has sped up a bit, which is strange. I imagine that the 4 will be phased out about time Iphone 6 (or 5s) comes out and the Iphone 4s will be phased out about a year after that.

I am going to be one of those folks that holds on to my Iphone 4 until the last time possible, it is a solid phone and when you have all the accessories with the 30-pin you just hold on.

What is the cost of the adaptor for it?

The iPhone 4S should be fine for a while. Look even the 3GS (2009??) is still getting supported on this update. The 4S is 2 models (years!) after that. A 4S should still be getting served well into if not past, 2014. Unless your partner is a hardcore gamer, then the CPU/GPU wont matter as much anyway. I believe the GPU in the 4S is on par with the one in the Samsung Galaxy S 3. So its not bad.

In saying that, my iPhone 5 is on its way, and if you can stretch, might as well pay $100 and get the one that will last an extra year.
