I am using mail in Mountain lion 10.8.2 before the update I could click on picture that was sent to me by email and it would import directly to iPhoto since the upgrade that does not work

What happens when you try?
When I click add to iphoto nothing happens. Iphoto used to load and then import the picture.
Does it work with iPhoto open?
I'm getting the same response with iPhoto 9.4 and 10.8.2. It's apparently a Mail issue so ask over in the Mail forum. I always drag the photos to the desktop so I can rename them before importing into iPhoto so hadn't noticed the issue until just now,. You can report the problem Apple via http://www.apple.com/feedback/mail.html as well as http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphoto.html.

Hmmm, I have experienced the same problem and had already supplied feedback to Apple. I trust this is just a temporary (unsatisfactory as well) solution until they fix the bug: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4435

Hum - You did read the TOU and you do understand that you are talking to other users just like yourself here - no one here can do anything tht you can not do yourself - so go ahead and remove it if it is a user option
