Anybody else experienced this ? I'm told it's a software glitch by both Apple and a repair shop, did a complete restore 3 times, on 2 different Mac's, no change.

My meltdown is officially over ! No clue why it did but my earpiece has started working again .
I have been having the same problem with my Bluetooth headset as well after upgrading to ios 6. Except I still have a problem on mine... If yours fixed hen hopefully over time mine will too!
Stevo I did a complete restore, not sure if you've tried it yet but just make sure your stuff if backed up before you do it . Then I started fresh like I just pulled the phone out of the box and with Verizon you dial *228 and select option 1 to update . Then it all of a sudden started working agian . Give it a shot .

I didn't apply the downgrade to ios5... But after days of dis-connectivity both my iPad 2 and iPhone 4S are now working flawlessly with my beats wireless.
Over time it seems it fixed itself, which is very odd....
Nor did I do a full reset of my devices.
I had the same problem that you do with the ear speaker, it happens on and off and a hard reset dosent seem to fix the problem. I have noticed that letting the battery drain completely fixes the problem on my 4S, but I'm not sure about others.
