yes - in my latest woes - now my phone won't connect to our wifi network.

try an app called "WAZE" its a free GPS app that is pretty good - i switched over to that after gmaps left with the update.

i guess i'll try to downgrade, though it sounds like an aweful lot of work. would sure be easier if apple could get around to patching this for us all.

Well, after I suggested to reset settings it worked for few days and the problem came back.

After few tests I finally found what was the issue (at least for my iPhone 4), I switched off "Location Services" and everything is back to normal.

I even left on email Push (2 exchange accounts) and everything is OK.

    Hope this helps,

iOS 6 is eating the battery at 20% per hour. I timed it. I have turned most everything off, Mail Fetch to manual and turned off most everything I have read about and closed all apps, and still the battery drain is 20% per hour.

This is terrible....Apple, I am disappointed. I have written 26 apps on the App Store and it makes us developers look bad.

iOS 6.0.1 just came out... maybe this will solve the battery issue?

Im kind of doubting it though, since Apple doesnt give two ***** about the people that buy their products, BUT we can hope.

Didn't fix it. And I thought I was dissapointed before.

****! did you try it out or its not on the bugfix-list? I will soon downgrade!

So far mine seems to be a little bit better.

Its still not as good as it should be. My iPhone 4 is on 10 hours of standby at 98% (shows 10 min usage, though i havent touched it till checking)

My iPhone 5 is at 70 after 10 hours of standby and it says 53 minutes of usage, even though I touched it twice to check usage for a few seconds.

before update my iP5 would be dead by now.

Well, it won't magically make the 4 or 4S battery larger and that's the problem. This is a hardware issue, folks -- iOS 6 and iOS 5 both demand a lot more from the hardware than iOS 4 and previous versions did and the batteries in both phones were fine by 2010 standards, tiny by 2012 standards. How can you get around it? Learn to stay near a charger.

The "battery drain" issue popped up in iOS 5 and it's here to stay. I wonder if battery life is vastly improved on the iPhone 5 (which also uses a battery that seems small on paper).

I have a completely different experience. My 4S would keep a charge all day until I upgraded to IOS6. Since then, I'll go to a 50% charge in an hour. I didn't add any apps or anything else new.

I don't see how it could be a hardware issue so significant since I was using IOS5.1.1 without any problems.

Yesterday I installed Ios 6.0.1 and recnarged battery to full, i unpluged at 14h20 and used at 7h05 my battery is 90%...I hope that for me 6.0.1 solved my battery drain, i want to see when i need to recharge it...

Updated 6.0 with 6.01 today.  I  thought my problem with battery drain was improved but once I set my email to Push or Fetch, the battery level dropped very fast.  When iOS6 was installed on my iPhone 4, I had a big problem with the battery drain. Apple checked my battery and even loaded a bit of software on my phone, which ran for several days; I then uploaded the file to Apple.  I use my phone for extensively for business and receive numerous emails and communications during the day.  However, in order to use my phone, I have to set things up to manual update and pretty much shut everything to off.  Once I do this, the battery runs like new.  The problem with this scenario is that my "used to be" smart phone is now a dumbed-down phone that requires me to manually perform tasks that used to run in the background.  I was hoping that this new update would correct the problem, but it did not happen.  Same old problem with the battery.  Extremely frustrating.

After getting the newer update it's worse again after I thought I fixed it. I can't keep a charge. It drains 1% an hour just sitting there. So bummed. I can't be without a charger now. This isn't right.

After i have a Iphone 3G who liked very much, butthis make me remember Samsung Galaxy S who's baterry is little...and i sell him...

    Same here. updated to 6.0.1.

Battery continues to drain as fast as it did with 6.0 and now it seems my iphone is getting even hotter than before even while in standby.

I've been an Apple user for abount 15 years and now it's the first time i'm seriously (and sadly) considering switching to other manifacturer. It just does not work! it's unacceptable. very frustrated with this.
