I've had every iPhone since it's original release.  I know all the tricks to save battery.

(Why have a state of the art phone when you have to disable all it's features?)

I had a perfectly functional iPhone 4S that would last most of the day and now it's draining without use, 25% an hour immediately following the upgrade to IOS6.

    UGH!

Having the same problem with my iPhone 4. Upgraded last night and battery is draining fast since then. Iphone is also charging way slower then before.

    No fun at all!

I don´t see the sense in having a super smartphone with all these great features if I´m going to turn them all off in order to be able to use it!?

    Hoping for an update!

I upgraded to iOs6 and the battery life is more than terrible now. My iPhone 4S has had great battery life with iOS5, now with iOS6 my battery drains rapidly. 2 hours ago my phone was fully charged - now the battery is down to 60%!! Most location based services are switched off. I have full reception, bluetooth is switched off.

I really regret that I upgraded to iOS6. A smartphone which drains in less than 6 hours is completely useless!

Maybe Apple should make a statement regarding this. They are really upsetting a lot of loyal customers...

Where do you turn passport off on an iPhone4? Probably a stupid question!

After upgrading to iOS6 via USB to my PC, I unplugged my iPhone 4 before going to bed, and the next morning after 8 hours it was still on 100%. It dropped to 99% soon after I started using it. The drain throughout the day might have been faster than usual, but that could have been because I was using it more to try out the new features. I always close apps from the taskbar when I've finished using them.

Oh and I just found out that my iPhone now doesn't download my Gmail Emails anymore. Great job! Now the phone is USELESS for me!

I have the same problem. Charging slowly, and fast battery draining. Yesterday at about 6pm i had 35%, and at 8pm it was completely discharged, without using it. I wish i didn't install the update

Same here. iPhone 4S running lovely prior to update.

I've got everything possible turned of including location services and other bits mentioned.

I've even manually turned screen brightness right down.

I'm still getting bad battery drain.

I even turned the phone off when it was at 20% in order to conserve power, but it still drained to zero despite no usage and being turned off!!  Nightmare!!!

After I upgraded to iOS6 my iPhone 4 has been draining 25% battery every hour while idle and I only a few apps/services running. Before it the battery lasted easily an entire day including normal usage. Been having these troubles for two days now
