iPod 4th gen was manually shut down (holding both buttons down to shut off...) while it was in middle of updating to ios 6, and now every time I turn bk on, it's a blank white screen! Looks like iPod has been wiped out! Please tell me how to fix this? I hooked to Mac, and still blank screen!!!

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Thanks for the suggestion, I added in the last message I wrote, that when I hook up to my P.C., it is still a blank screen on the iPod! I'm not good at any of this crap, and don't kno much about it, but when onto the Apple store, I downloaded a new version of iTunes, so that's taking a LONG time, but as iTunes was downloading, I hooked up the iPod, and the screen stayed BLANK! It's not showing that it's hooked to pc. So I am going to go to ur link u gave me, and figure out how to force a shut down, and hopefully restore this thing! I really need to SPEAK to someone so they can talk me through this, but I don't have $30 to spend on apple care (have no warranty left..) , so thanks again
