Lost all my photos after ios6 update.

First thing.. Stop where you are. Don't try to sync, update, hard reset, iCloud... Just stop.

Check on your phone under 'SETTINGS' 'GENERAL' USAGE'. It should show some value for PHOTOSTREAM. Also, connect to iTunes and you will notice at the bottom of your phones summary page that there is a large amount of 'OTHER' data.

I used third party software called iExplorer (formerly iPhone explorer). In this program you select 'MEDIA FOLDER', then 'DCIM'. In the various apple folders (IE: 101APPLE) you should be able to preview your photos and copy them to your desktop.

From there sync them back to your device through iTunes or whatever method you use.

There is a simpler solution I'm sure, which may involve using iExplorer to delete some .plist files then restart the phone and let it rebuild. I'm going to try it myself AFTER I've finished copying all the photos to my MAC

Will this work for windows when iphone is stuck in recovery mode or just for Macs?

The mentioned software is for macs. You'll have to do a google search for programs doing the same thing on win pcs.

I did a system software update on my iphone 4 ios6 and i've lost everything Apps, photos, and lots of numbers is there anyway i can get them back Im so hurt right now i dnt think i had any of them back up

When you "updated" to iOS 6, did you update or restore? If you restored, did you set your phone up as new, or did you restore from backup?
I suppose you could try getting your pics back by connecting to the PC where you last backed up before you updated (your work PC in this case), and restoring from that backup.

Connect your iPhone to PC, start iTunes, right click on the iPhone icon in the left-hand column, select "Restore from backup."
You will, however, lose any changes you made to your phone since you updated.

Or, you could try extracting your pics from your backup by using a program like iBackupbot. I haven't personally used it myself, but from what I understand, it should do what you need.

And from now on, sync your pics somewhere.
