My last name is pronounced with a long "a" like in "baker." How can I train Siri to not pronounce it like "backer?"
I've tried adding the phoenetic field to my contact record but that just messes up the sort order of the records. Plus, can't I teach Siri once and not have to do this for my entire family?

In the Contacts, find your record, click "edit" and scroll to the bottom and choose "create a custom field". You can add a phonetic spelling of your first and last name there. Then Siri will say it using that.
I did that. But then Contacts sorts my contact records by the phoenetic spelling rather than the actual spelling and I have no way of testing whether my phoenetic spelling even worked becaus Siri will only address me by my first name and I'm trying to correct the pronunciation of my surname.
I agree. This is an unacceptable problem (AKA Bug) that needs addressed (AKA fixed) ASAP (AKA immediately).
It is bad enough that it actually shows you (the person who already knows how to pronounce it) the phonetic spelling, but that is mistakenly uses it for sort order is utterly frustrating and unacceptable.
