iOS 6 Bluetooth problems

So I have an iPhone 4S and IPad 2. I have updated them both to iOS 6 and am having Bluetooth problems on both devices... It connects and plays for about a minute and for some odd reason it cuts out every couple seconds/minutes. I have to keep pausing or skipping tracks in order for the music to play comfortably again. This happens to me on BOTH devices and also happens on my buddies iPhone 4S as well.

I never had any of these problems in iOS 5... So does anyone know if it could be a bug or how I can fix it?

Good luck to you mate... back in the days of iOS 4 my iPhone 3GS worked perfectly with my Nokia bluetoth kit, not too dissimilar to a Parrot model available at the time. Since iOS 5 none of my Apple phones have worked properly with it, I am sick of being told by Apple that Nokia need to fix it. This despite the fact that I have a 6 month old Blackberry that does work perfectly with it.

I was recently considering replacing my Nokia wth a Parrot, now I'm glad I didn't!

Bluetooth search failure, parining failure, connection failure.

Bought two new iPhone 5, both have been updated from IOS 6 to IOS 6.1.2.

Neither iPhone 5 will find the other iPhone 5.

iPhone 5 will not find iPad (3?) w/Retina.

iPhone 5 will find and pair with old LG phone, but will not connect.

iPhone 5 will find and occassionally pair with MacBook pro, but will not connect.

In the 4+ years of using iPhone and several other apple products, this is the first time that I am feeling frustrated with my iPhone 4S and Apple. I am surprised that so many people around the world are facing the problem with their blue tooth devices after upgrading the iOS and still there is no hope of having this situation resolved. The cause of breakage of communication between iPhone (my investment, my ownership) and other devices is of apple origin and apple can't walk away by suggesting that the other party should upgrade the Bluetooth Firmware.

In my case, My iPhone 4S stopped paring with My Fiat car blue&me system after updating to iOS 6.1.2. The problem has not been solved in iOS 6.1.3.

If this problem is not solved in next update the ovious solution is to move to android as I can change my phone but I can't change my car that eaisly.

It has been stated over and over again that this is an issue with third party device manufacturers, not with Apple. In order to interoperate with other equipment, equipment makers must follow published standards, and it's clear many did not, while Apple did.

Many third party device makers have since offered firmware updates for their equipment that has completely resolved the issue.

Be sure to completely delete your iPhone, if it was previously paired with your 500's radio, from both the Fiat B&M and the B&M from your Phone, before attempting to re-pair; many other B&M users have found this to solve their issue:

❒ If you want to re-pair your mobile phone, delete the old pairing relation-

ship first. During this operation all user data will be deleted. To delete the old

registration, select USER DATA, DELETE USERS. Delete the “Blue&Me” device from the list of

Bluetooth® devices on your mobile phone, following the instructions in your mobile phone manual.

❒ If you download a phonebook with more than 1000 contacts, the system

may operate more slowly and voice recognition of the names in your

phonebook may be impaired.

❒ If the pairing relationship is accidentally deleted, the pairing procedure will

have to be repeated.

MANAGING USER DATA

You can make adjustments to the user data saved in the hands-free system. Specif-

ically, you can reset all user data for paired phones, delete the phonebook or

reset both paired phone data and the phonebooks downloaded to the system.

In this way the system is restored to its initial settings. You can also download either the entire phonebook or single contacts from your mobile phone to the system, if you chose not to download the phonebook during the phone pairing pro cedure. You can make adjustments to the

data used by the system with the option USER DATA.

• To open the USER DATA menu using manual interaction, proceed as follows:

Activate the Main Menu by pressing ß/MENU and select SETTINGS by pressing SRC/OK or ß/MENU.

Select USER DATA and then press SRC/OK or ß/MENU.

• Or, using voice interaction: Press ‘ and say “Settings” and at the end of the message supplied by

the system say “User Data”.

In the menu USER DATA you can perform the functions described below.

Deleting paired users

In the menu USER DATA you can delete the pairing relationships created.

After you delete the pairing relationship, you cannot use an unpaired phone with

the hands-free system, nor its phonebook, until you recreate a pairing relationship for

it. Bear in mind that this operation deletes all the pairing relationships on the system.

• To delete user data using manual interaction, proceed as follows:

Select DELETE USERS and then press SRC/OK or ß/MENU.

The system will display the message DELETE USERS?. To confirm,

press SRC/OK or ß/MENU.

• Or, using voice interaction:

Press ‘, say “Settings” and at the end of the message provided by the system say “Delete users”.

The system will ask “Delete all paired users?”. To confirm, say “Yes”.

Notes

❒ Always remember that, if a mobile phone is paired with the system while

another phone is connected, the connection with the current phone is interrupted to establish the connection with the new phone.

❒ It is not possible to delete a single pairing relationship, unless it is the only one.

❒ Deleting all paired users will entail a new pairing procedure for the mobile phone.

Stated by who? Apple?

So why, in my case, did my Bluetooth device (Nokia CK-15W) work perfectly with iOS 3 but hasn't from iOS 4 onwards? Are Apple saying iOS 3 didn't comply with Bluetooth standards but now does?

And how has this Bluetooth device worked perfectly with every other phone I've tried it with in recent years (Samsung, Blackberry, HTC) the latest being a brand new Blackberry late last year?

In my case Apple broke something that was already working and various emails and visits to the Genius Bar have elicited everything from no response at all to "It's not our fault, get the Nokia updated". The device itself CAN NOT BE UPDATED!!! Hear me Apple?

Oh really?

Than tell me how come that my wife's iPhone 4 (updated to iOS 6.1.2) is able to connect with the same Car Dock For iPhone after we reseted network settings on the iPhone 4, but my iPhone 4S is unable to connect to the same device even after resetting the network settings however but it was able to connect before iOS 6?

Sorry, I don't eat this ****.

Clearly you did not read my post above:

I can now add that one of the iPhone 5s (haven't tested other) will not pair to MacBook Air running "OS X" 10.7.5.

However the same iPhone 5 will pair to older model "third party device manufacture" (aka Jeep).

As such, this is NOT an issue with "third party device manufactures"; this is an issue with first party device manufacture (aka Apple).

Just to be clear, this has nothing to do with Tethering.

I have replaced my New Potato TuneLink Auto with a Belkin AirCast adapter.

My TuneLink Auto replacement has also failed. I will no longer buy a Tunelink product.

The AirCast has been a wonderful product. It pairs up with my 4S running 6.1.2 without issue. While it doesn't automatically reconnect when I turn the key in my Toyota Corolla S, it quickly connects and stays connected.

The only caveat is that Siri keeps using the monoaural bluetooth profile. That is causing Siri to sound fuzzy and tunnel-sounding. The music player is crystal clear.
