iOS 6 Bluetooth problems

So I have an iPhone 4S and IPad 2. I have updated them both to iOS 6 and am having Bluetooth problems on both devices... It connects and plays for about a minute and for some odd reason it cuts out every couple seconds/minutes. I have to keep pausing or skipping tracks in order for the music to play comfortably again. This happens to me on BOTH devices and also happens on my buddies iPhone 4S as well.

I never had any of these problems in iOS 5... So does anyone know if it could be a bug or how I can fix it?

I have a JayBird sportsband and while it connects properly, it now loses control ability since the iOS 6 upgrade. The skip forward/skip back control no longer works properly. I've turned off BT, unpaired the device, re-paired, and the control works for a short while and then drops it again. This feature was one of the key reasons for purchasing this headset in the first place.

After a couple days of constant disconnectivity via Bluetooth. Somehow my iPhone just started working with my beats wireless again. It's now working flawlessly without having to downgrade to iOS 5....

I'm not sure how it fixed itself but it did over time...

Working now on both my iPad 2 and iPhone 4S.

Apple should still have an update to fix Bluetooth, to many people are having problems.

Weird to read that you got connectivity back - sadly no joy for me despite doing a complete re-set on my Dre Beats and re-pairing.Only light at the end of this pricey and infuriating tunnel is that a supervisor from Apple called me back - dead on the arranged time - and sounded genuinely apologetic and assured me it was being investigated and will get back to me asap. I can only suggest that if you have the Bluetooth problem - and if you know anyone having the same problem - painful and time consuming as I know it is - phone them!! The more of us who do this the more likely we may get the much needed fix.

I agree with you Chris, I have already phoned them about my problem a couple of days ago and they said they were going to figure out what went wrong.

It is definitely very odd how they just started working again. I'm glad they are working now, but code in iOS 6 is set in stone for now... Which over time doesn't explain why it works now... I never did any resets on any of my devices. It just started working.

I have exactly the same Problems with my iPhone 4S and my Wireless Beats (V2) Headphones, since the Update to iOS 6 as Stevo14896!

Especially with Audiobooks and Podcasts the iPhone cuts out every couple seconds everytime it gets to the next chapter. Sometime I can’t hear the music or the Audiobook/ Podcast anymore, but the iPhone continues to play it.

By the way the “remote” controls on my headphone aren't working properly as well. Sometimes the iPhone gets my commands, sometimes not.

When I use the cable with the Beats Headphones or my older iPod (3GS Gen. with Bluetooth, but without the Softwareupdate) I have neither of this problems!

I’m very disappointed by Apple! This is the worst Softwareupdate I have seen jet from them and the headphone were very expensive! 😠

Having the same problem as Stevo14896 and Morphois. My wireless beats (V2) which I bought 2 months ago and iPhone 4S, my iPad 3 is still on iOS 5.1.1 and is staying on iOS 5.1.1 until the bluetooth issue is resolved. The headphones work fine with my iPad. The headphones can connect, but as Stevo14896, tracks skip, they stop playing despite the track on the phone still playing, sound is patchy.

I am so disappointed in this update and for my wireless headphones, I am having to use the lead they come with to get uniterrupted music, wireless headphones, wired! Thanks Apple! 😠

I'm having similar problems with my 4s after iOS6 update (one week after installing). suddenly my phone is no longer paired with my 2011 vw tiguan bluetooth, and when i try to pair again, phone finds the vw device, vw device finds the phone, but when i input the factory setting code to complete connection, it says it is incorrect. same happens when i try to connect to my wireless network. i'm being told my password is wrong.

FYI

I contacted the Apple Support (Germany) today and they told me to reset my iPhone. Before and after that I also renewed my Bluetooth Pairing with my Beats Wireless, but nothing worked.

The Apple Support told me also to restore my iPhone, if a reset doesn't solve my problems and if this also fails to bring it to the Apple Store to swap it for a new one, because I quote "then it is a hardware problem" 😢

My question? OMG do they have a clue what is going on? Swap my iPhone "because this is a hardware problem", will not solve my problem with the **** iOS 6 😠

I have had nothing but issues since "upgrading" to iOS 6. I have an iPhone4, and use it constantly in my vehicle with an Alpine CDE133BT. The stereo has worked flawlessly for over a year now with the iphone with both bluetooth calling and bluetooth audio. I literally don't have to touch my phone while driving.

Now, with iOS 6...my phone will no longer do voice dialing through my stereo. I have to manually dial the number or find it in my contacts on the phone while driving. Bluetooth audio is also a problem, as I have lost the ability to FF, RW, or pause the music from the stereo or via the steering wheel controls.

Hands free phone use while driving is the LAW where I live. If you are seen handling your phone while driving, they can fine you $136. I will be seriously re-considering my decision to go Apple if this catastrophe isn't fixed in a hurry.

I have an iPhone4 and a Pioneer AVH-P2400BT car unit. I've upgraded to IOS 6. The update (from what I've tried and what I can tell) is NOT reversible.

Here's what I've found happening between the iPhone & Pioneer for bluetooth streaming audio:

1. The track/artist info no longer displays.

2. The track skip buttons no longer function.

3. The pause/play button no longer functions. It may SEEM like it does, but it simply mutes the audio, the content continues to play (silently) on the iPhone.

4. The content no longer resumes when the vehicle is started.

5. The content will pause when the vehicle is turned off, but a couple of seconds continue (silently) on the iPhone.

6. If content is paused by the vehicle being turned off, it will resume playing on the iPhone speakers following an incoming phone call, whether answered or not. (This can be a little embarrassing, depending on the content of your prefferred podcasts! 😊 )

I to have updated to the iOS 06 & have been plague by BT issues. My Plan Tronics ear piece will loose its connection after about 5 to 6 min. This frustrating especially when HF device is required now. To me it seems like a refresh issue between the BT radio & the BT device, culprit being the phone. As everyone else has stated, it worked before the upgrade & i work in the IT field so this very frustrating when updates are shoved out the door.
