I am also having huge issues with Bluetooth on my iPad. It will no longer Bluetooth to any device. Very, very upset! No longer can print from my iPad because it cannot find the printer. Apple made a huge mistake with new operating system. I never thought there would be this serious of a problem. Would never have downloaded it!!!!!! So others beware!

I upgraded to IOS 7 and the Bluetooth issues disappeared.

My configuration: iPhone 4s, Pioneer receiver with AS-BT200 bluetooth adapter

    With IOS 5: no issues

With IOS 6: 1sec drops every 30 to 40 seconds (WLAN enabled); no drops (WLAN disabled)

With IOS 7: no issues, even with WLAN switched on

I did not change anything on Pioneer side, just upgraded the iPhone to IOS 7 and did not even had to setup the Bluetooth connection again.

This leaves the conclusion that it was a software bug in IOS 6.

I have the same issue with bluetooth cutting out, but mine is an iPhone 5 and it is happening while I am on the phone and driving.  It is a serious safety hazzard, and I am very frustrated.  I can put up with a lot of inconveniences, but not being able to talk on my phone hands-free is not one of them.  I haven't been happy with the new iOS7 update, but I could live with all the other shortcomings of the system.  However, this one is a deal-breaker for me, as it puts me and my family in jeopardy when I have to deal with phone issues while I am driving.  I am now trying to figure out how (if possible) to go back to the previous version because this just isn't acceptible.

You would think this kind of issue would concern Apple due to the liability of lawsuits.  If I were to have a wreck while being distracted by this issue, and Apple had full knowledge of this problem (which I'm sure they do), it could cause a serious PR problem and potential losses by a class action suit.  I am not a letigious individual and would not pursue such action, but I am sure there are those who would.  Word to the wise, Apple, you've got bigger problems coming than you even realize.

Same results here except I'm using an iPad 3 and a Jambox bluetooth speaker.

    With IOS 5: no issues

With IOS 6: 1sec drops every minute or 2  (WLAN enabled); no drops (WLAN disabled)

With IOS 7: no issues, even with WLAN switched on and streaming music

I can FINALLY stream music via WiFi !!!

This was most definitly a software bug in iOS 6.

Hopefully any judge would throw this out of court, but I wouldn't put anything past lawyers these days.

With iOS 7, I'm seeing results as positive as what Dennis and MarkAlex are seeing. Prior to iOS 6, iPhones and iPad connected flawlessly to my Logitech Bluetooth Speaker Adapter (980-000540). With iOS6.x, was able to connect, but would have intermittent audio drop-outs while streaming. Same result for iPhone/iPad, regardless of other (e.g., network) settings. With iOS 7, I'm back to the functionality I had in in iOS 5, and am a much happier customer.

It took about a year, and it looks like there's still more work to do with respect to other Bluetooth issues on other devices, but it's great to see Apple fix this, and not shove it under the rug and forget about it, or point fingers at other vendors.

I had similar issues with bluetooth on my Iphone 5. anything broadcast on the phone, music or phone coversation would have a ship every few seconds.

Thsi link corrected my issues: http:/http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4562, in setting/general/reset/reset network settings.

This reset the network setting back to factory settings.

Upon completing this action, I have not experienced any issues with my iphone5 bluetooth transmitting to any vehicle sync or bluethooth speakers.

    Hope this helps!

Music-stuttering iPod 4 with ios 6.0.7, upgraded from 6.0.5 when that "goto fail" bugfix came out.  Stuttering started about two weeks ago, intermittently.   Today it was stuttering audio every few minutes, on bluetooth speakers and on bluetooth headphones.   Music was from both aac and home-encoded mp3 files.

Tried turning wifi off, didn't stop stuttering.

    Did hardware reset.  Stuttering gone!

Been playing steadily for fifteen minutes now.  Is the stuttering from buildup of something?  We'll see how long this fix lasts.  If I have to do a hardware reset every few months, I can live with that.

Thanks to everyone who suggested a hardware reset.

My ipod 3 bluetooth started breaking up 2 months ago had to stop using it, then I updated it to 6.16 and it solved the problem for 4 weeks, yesterday the problem came back. So i,m going to reinstall the update and see what happens.  this seems a big problem with all models, there have been 500 replys to this post but whats more significant is there has been quarter of a million views.  That suggest 250000 problems x 10.  Come on apple.

I had this same problem and spent all weekend trying to figure it out.  When I came into work today, my coworker had me to power off my iphone 6 plus, wait 5 secs and power it back on.  The phone was able to find my headset (LG tone 730).

I was having this problem with a new iPhone 6 on iOS 8.0.2. I believe this was working fine before I upgraded to 8.0.2, but can't guarantee that. The problem was with both a VW Jetta Sportwagon and a Fiat Abarth. I also had issues with my Bose headset. On the cars, I got the same behavior. The phone would pair and I could voice dial, but it would run once and drop the bluetooth connection. The call was still connected and I could switch to the iPhone and talked to the person, but not through the car's bluetooth system. On the Bose headset, I got partial functionality though it was buggy and I couldn't hang up a call.

I went to the Apple store. They, of course, were of no help. The guy at the genius (??) bar said he'd never heard of the problem. I suggested he Google it. He then insinuated that Google purposely was making it look like this was a big problem. Oy veh!  I then said, the problem could be seen on Apple's own discussion forums. All he had me do was remove some old iPhones and iPads from my Find Your Phone function in iCloud. This did nothing. So, I decided I'd try the one last thing I'd read about -- resetting the phone. I did and it worked! I also noticed that the phone paired differently from the times when it didn't work. This time Verizon showed up as the carrier and before that field would be blank during pairing. The connection is with the Abarth and I haven't tried the VW or the Bose to see if it's working properly.

I'm also told that 8.1 coming Monday will solve this problem. But if you need it now, try the reset. I've heard from others that it works, but I've also heard it doesn't always stay corrected. Fingers crossed.
