When will my @me.com address be upgraded to @icloud.com?

Since I'm the "tech head" in my family I try to keep things simple. I'm trying to set up everyone with an iCloud account with their name and @me.com. I set up my wifes today and now she has an @icloud.com. Will my current @me.com account be upraded to @icloud.com to match my wife's? When?
